The Mazda Speed3 is a great all around vehicle. The build of the hatchback is sporty but spacious. The entire backseat folds down to allow you to use all of the space efficiently. The front-wheel drive mixed with a 260hp motor turns any green light into a race. With synthetic fuel, the mileage on Speed 3 is almost double the original. It can carry large equipment, large furniture, or serve as a camper for trips or drive-in movies. It's also extremely reliable and sturdy. Even with less than optimal maintenance schedule, the Speed 3 runs without any major issues. The only issues with the Speed 3 is cost, speakers, noise, and gears. Though it has a Bose Sound system, it's not tuned very well and doesn't sound the best. While driving, especially on bumpy roads, the cabin can be very load,... (more)
Story
One time we drove out to the desert, laid the seats down, and watched a meteor shower.
Pros
Favorite features are space, versatility, and speed. It's literally a go-anywhere, do-anything car.
Cons
My top issues with the car is the jerkiness of switching gears and how low it is to the ground. When going on dirt roads, the vehicle shakes violently and rocks easily scratches up the bottom.

This car is powerful, fast, fun and practical. Styling is discrete but sporty. Seats in the GT trim look luxurious. Gas mileage from the 2.3l direct injected, turbocharged engine is great on the highway.
Story
The car is great to drive to an Autocross on Sunday morning, and then go grocery shopping while still retaining 24+ mpg.
Pros
The vehicle has a lot of space to haul items. The interior is comfortable and inviting, unlike other vehicles in this price segment. Torque steer is exciting when the driver decides to stab the gas pedal. The vehicle has not had any major issues other than a handful of factory recalls for small issues. Gas mileage can exceed 30 mpg doing strictly highway driving. Maintenance and oil changes are generally inexpensive. The car is fairly agile and fun to drive, while still being tame for city driving.
Cons
The suspension is a little stiff which is great for sporty driving, but jarring on rough roads. Tires for the stock wheel size are expensive and fairly limited in variety. The radio interface is a little clunky.
