I love this van. It is large enough that I was able to pack all my stuff in it (and on the roof rack) and move across the country, but it handles like a much smaller car. It has a great turn radius for a vehicle of this size. In addition to cargo space, it is great for driving around groups of people. I have used it to drive seven adults, including several men over 6 ft., to the mountains and around Asheville for a weekend. There is enough headroom that my boyfriend, who is 6'5", is able to sit comfortably in all seats of the van. I have had to do very little maintenance, other than routine things, and the car has about 150,000+ miles on it. It has held up incredibly well. When I have had issues with it, the parts are common enough that it has not taken too much time to get it fixed. I... (more)
Story
It was late one night, and I was driving home after having dinner at a friend's house, and I had the overwhelming urge to drive to the beach. So I came home, packed a bag with enough stuff for a day trip and some food, took the middle row of seats out of the van, threw my twin mattress in the back, grabbed some coffee, and off I went. After a three-hour drive by myself with the windows down an... (more)
Pros
The internal space and comfort of the van is wonderful. Even after 15 years, not many other vans compare. I love how the seats are stored; the back row folds down into the bed of the car to create a continuous flat space, and I can take the middle row of seats out if I need the space. The middle seats are on two tracks so that the can be two individual bucket seats or a bench seat.
Cons
One of the dashboard lights has gone out, which means that at night I can't see mileage, etc. and it is super expensive to fix because there is no easy access. The gas mileage isn't great, but that's to be expected with an older van.

One of my best friend's mum had bought a new Mazda MPV and she used to let my friend drive it around. I remember the first day my friend came to pick me up I the new ride and I was nothing but amazed by this car. I loved how it drove, the engine was smooth and the car was a mini van with big enough room for 7 passengers. "What a fantastic family car," I thought to myself. 3 Months after I went online and ordered one for myself straight from Japan. I loved everything about this car except its fuel consumption. The Mazda MPV has a 6 cylinder engine which gives the engine more power but then at a cost of fuel consumption. I figured out the average amount of gas I used to consume with my Honda Fit was half the amount of my new consumption with the Mazda MPV. My only complaint with this veh... (more)
Story
The car overheated on one occasion while we were on a road trip with my friends. We hadn't noticed that the temperature gauge wasn't working and no one thought about the boiling engine till it overheated to a point that the car just stopped moving. We ended up sleeping in the middle of nowhere. We just pushed the car on the sideway, locked doors and just slept in there. It was a fun night though.
Pros
Its beautiful on the exterior Spacious and big enough to accommodate at least 7 passengers Powerful engine Comfortable and beautiful interior A good family car
Cons
High fuel consumption, 6 cylinder engine
