The drive is the best/smoothest I have experienced compared to all other vehicles I have driven. The ability to check my speed easily, with both a digital speedometer above the steering wheel and signature speedometer in the middle of the dashboard, is highly beneficial especially in residential areas. The interior materials look and feel high quality, although the black leather does get scolding hot during Florida summers. I enjoy the ability to unlock the doors by simply pressing the button on the door handle, and while I understand the safety reasons behind not automatically unlocking all of the doors, I would prefer the option to choose. The vehicle preforms above my expectations while also being practical in terms of gas mileage, size, and comfort. The trunk is obviously compact, ... (more)
Story
We took a family road trip from Orlando to St. Augustine in our MINI. The ride was enjoyable. We popped open the sunroof and drove down the coastline, stopping at beaches and attractions along the way.
Pros
Perhaps my favorite qualities are the crisp steering, athletic handling, and smooth brakes. It is a fun vehicle to drive, especially on the highway. It has the ability to be driven as a manual or automatic. All of the seats have a ample amount of leg room and are comfortable. The sun/moon roofs add to the enjoyment of the drive. To activate the windshield wipers you can simply press in on the knob which automatically senses the amount of rainfall and adjusts the speed accordingly so you are not fumbling trying to adjust the speed. The rear parking sensors are helpful for when you are back... (more)
Cons
While the majority of the vehicle is user friendly, the gauges and audio controls are confusing. They require using a knob to change between radio channels and other settings which can be cumbersome and potentially dangerous when driving. For its price point, it lacks basic conveniences, such as a back up camera, which is now considered a necessity for most drivers. The lack of which is increasingly noticeable due to the lack of adequate visibility out of the back. More phone chargers, including a cigarette lighter and power adapter in the back seat would be appreciated. Also, more cup ho... (more)

My Mini Cooper is an extended version. It has three doors, the passenger side has "suicide doors". I really enjoy that the Mini is a manual six speed, it is super fun to drive and has very tight handling. I also like the fact that it has very good fuel economy compared to other cars; I average about 30 mpg. My mini has two sunroofs and the back one does not back up all the way, it only cracks open. It has racing stripes painted on and the side mirrors are interchangeable. One thing that I think needs improvement in the Mini Coopers is that it is a very rough ride on poor roads. You can feel every single crack of the pavement. It is even worse on pavement with potholes. They really need to introduce better suspensions to the Mini Coopers. All in all it is a very luxurious ride which I w... (more)
Story
A Mustang pulled up to me at a traffic light and indicated that he wanted to race off of the light. My mini has an integrated turbo engine which the driver of the Mustang not expected. Fair to say I got off the light way faster than the Mustang.
Pros
It is a Manual Six Speed. I enjoy the sunroofs, heated seats and fuel economy. It is a "big small car". Even though it is called a Mini it is very roomy in the extended version.
Cons
Very bumpy ride, needs better suspensions. It also bothers me that the second sunroof only cracks open and does not fully open up.

We purchased a 2016 Mini Cooper Countryman S about six months ago. The car is great from the inside to the outside. Mini has put together a very functional vehicle built from high quality materials throughout. The roof rack gives it a more rugged appearance and allows us to haul kayaks around with ease. The remote entry makes getting into the car a breeze even with my hands full. The huge sunroof allows for a great view and allows us to get a little closer to nature. The car is well built to the point that while driving I don't hear any road noise. The wheel and tire packages and all the customizations available give you the ability to create a car as unique as you are.
Story
I took it out onto the beach and was a little worried about getting stuck, but the sand was firm, and the Countryman handled it like a boss. The whole family has a blast.
Pros
The size is perfect for a family of four. The handling and acceleration make the car truly a pleasure to drive. My Mini definitely stands out in a crowd and has functionality to match its stunning looks.
Cons
I switched from a two-door hardtop Mini S, so I do wish the car was a little faster. Mini has changed some of its features and styling which, in my opinion, make it a little less Mini-like.
