2015 Nissan Altima - Love it!!
My 2015 Nissan Altima is wonderful in every way. Always a smooth ride and very comfortable.
Story
As a single mom, I'm always on a tight budget. You want to love what you spend your finances on not just feel forced to like it for convenience. In its class, the Altima was definitely the best choice.
Pros
Extremely reliable and wonderful mileage per gallon either when local or on the highway. At 26,000 miles, so far no mechanical issues and drives beautifully. Has some serious pep for a 4 cylinder and all options are within reach. For a non-sports car, it had the nicest lines in its class. My daughter named the car "Precious" since she really loves it and thinks it is pretty. Spacious inside and out. Plenty of room left in the trunk even with a bike, bowling balls, beach chairs, toys and shopping bags!
Cons
Only issue I've had to deal with were with the front tires. My tires were wearing thin by 20,000 miles which really blew my mind since I'm not a drag racer or braker by any means! A mechanic told me the car must not have been properly aligned from day one which most likely caused the issue. I blame the dealership or factory for that as it should have been inspected better, so that is why I didn't give it five stars. I am thankful nothing ever happened but the car never drove or pulled oddly so I didn't think I had an issue since tires should last to at least 30,000-36,000 miles if no flat.
2005 Nissan Altima - It drives.
The car starts and drives, I've put a decent amount of money into it since I got it 6 months ago though. Apparently transmission problems are common, and also having to turn your key a few times to get it to start. Its a simple, nice looking car though, I don't see any rust yet at least. It's pretty decent on gas, and it really doesn't look too bad for a 12 year old car.
Story
Bringing my daughter to the beach, and being able to bring her somewhere once I got the air conditioner fixed.
Pros
The exterior of the outside is holding up pretty nicely, it doesn't look like my last 2005 car at all, it's not too bad with gas mileage either, I can get pretty far on one tank if gas. I like the interior compartments, where I can close them up and keep my car looking neat, and there is also 2 compartments in the dashboard for more space. I can fit my daughters stroller and quite a few other large items in the spacious trunk. The interior fabrics and plastics have been holding up pretty nicely as well, all things considered, it's not the best car but it's not the worst.
Cons
Having to turn the key in the ignition a few times before it starts gets annoying. Transmission problems are common, and I have leaks in my ac/compressor and needed it replaced. While driving, it jumps or runs rough(especially when just started on really hot/cold day). I dislike the hubcaps rather then rims very much, especially considering I only have 3 because one fell off who knows where
