The Nissan Altima is a great mid sized car that is great on gas. It is also a low maintenance that has not given me many problems. I also love the key FOB and it makes me feels safe that the car can't driven if its not in the vicinity. The Altima has decent acceleration and rides smoothly on the highway. lastly the different sized cup holders come in handy when I have multiple beverages.
Story
I invited my mom to dinner since we hadn't done anything in awhile. I didn't tell her I had a new car so when I pulled to get her she didn't know it was my new car. when she got in she was impressed with the car and even told me that she was jealous and wanted to go buy the same car.
Pros
Great fuel mileage, looks goods, and low maintenance cost.
Cons
Faulty seals let rain water in from time to time.

I dislike this car a lot! Ever since I purchased the car, I have been having problems. I think it is mostly the car I purchased, not really the brand. It appears it was involved in an accident and had a pretty bad repair job.
Story
I was getting off the interstate hwy and the transmission was whining horribly. I stopped at the top of the ramp and when the light turned green, i proceeded to accelerate but the car didn't want to go. I knew at that moment, I had to take it to the Nissan dealership to get checked out.
Pros
It gets pretty good gas mileage - about 30 mpg.
Cons
The brake switch was broken and I had problems starting the car. I had the transmission replaced at 92,000 miles and I'm now having problems again at 144,000 miles. It turns out that Nissan is aware of the transmission problems and extended the warranty on it. Luckily I was able to get it replaced before it ran out of the warranty time frame. The front passenger door sometimes collects water after it rains. I have to drain it through one of the trim pieces at the bottom. The air conditioner stopped working in the middle of July!!!
