I purchased this pickup as I needed a truck to fit my outdoors activities while still being able to go into a city and find parking. The crew cab was also a must as I have a daughter and needed the extra seating. I've never owned a Nissan before and was hesitant at first, but they offered everything I was looking for in a mid size pickup; 4wd, crew cab / 4 door, 6 foot bed and of particular necessity for my wife is leather interior. So far the truck has been problem free. I frequently take it off-roading onto the beach for fishing and have never had a problem. I would like a couple more inches of ground clearance for the bad ruts. The ride is great, both highway and city. Gas mileage could be better but it does have a 4.0 liter engine that provides plenty of power. I do find after a co... (more)
Story
Was driving onto the beach a couple months ago, caught up to a stuck Prius. Why they would try to drive onto the beach is anybody's guess. They were buried up to the top of the tires. I hooked up a tow strap and effortlessly began to back up pulling them out. After a couple few they had me stop. Well the front clip of the car pulled off from being so buried. They put the front clip on the roof... (more)

Cons
1. Seat gets uncomfortable after hours 2. Fuel economy 3. A/C not that cold 4. No Bluetooth 5. Headlights could be brighter

The 2011 Nissan Frontier is truly an amazing truck. It has a surprising amount of torque for the v6 under the hood and the manual transmission shifts very smooth. The truck has hit 110,000 miles, and the truck has all original parts other than its clutch. It's a truly shocking bit of mechanics to have lasted this long with original equipment. The pro 4x4 came equipped with Bilstein shocks and a stock lift for some off-roading fun. My 12-year-old son has never had an issue with the jumper seats in the back of the king cab or the amount of space in the cab. Also, in a collision the truck was fine suffering only a bent fender and cracked bumper and headlight. The car I collided with was totaled. All in all I have always loved my Nissan Frontier from the day I drove it off the lot. I would... (more)
Story
I took it into a field and drove it around the field in second gear. High revving it and shooting up dirt and grass like a giant RC truck. I did donuts and hoped hills. It was a lot of fun.
Pros
Longevity. Power.
Cons
The engine has a odd engine idle. The rpm drops slightly causing a small rumble.
