Overall good car
My Maxima is an overall good quality car. I haven't had too many problems with it at all. Replaced the alternator once at 80,000 miles and I've driven it across the United States with no problems. The leather seat's appearance did not hold up very well, and the head liner started to fall down about a year ago. The passenger window motor burnt out and is costly to replace. The dome light on and off switch was causing brake lights, tail lights, and front turn signal lights to not work. It took a long time to figure out what was causing the problem.

Lacking in longevity
I loved this car when I first purchased it but as of lately going on 3 years of owning it I've been having major issues.
Again the car is 16 years old but I really thought Nissans were made better.
