2004 Nissan Maxima - My vehicle is great for the uses I have for it.
I do like the smooth ride and comfortable feel of my car but it also has a lot of transmission problems. Around 100,000 miles I had to put $4,000 into my car to make sure the transmission was safe for me to drive. I took it to the dealership for this repair and I was thoroughly disappointed in the service that I was given.
Story
I like driving around my city seeing so many cars around me that are the same. It shows me that people are interested in my vehicle in particular.
Pros
I love the 18 inch wheel option that my car has and I also like the moon roof. It makes for a very romantic experience with my wife. The V6 is something that you can feel even just riding around town.
Cons
Like I said previously I don't like that the transmission had to be replaced so soon on my car. Normally you can get 150,000 to 200,000 miles out of a transmission before it fails on you. There are a lot of forums about there about Nissan's having transmission problems which isn't even covered under any kind of recall.
1999 Nissan Maxima - It's been a great little car, very dependable—300,000 miles on it and still going strong
I love how it's so dependable and gets great gas mileage. It has, however, had a lot of electrical issues since I have owned it.
Story
The best thing I can think of is the trip I took to Florida about a month ago. I had a blast.
Pros
Great gas mileage, dependable, and a mechanically sound vehicle.
Cons
It has had a lot of electrical issues over the years.
