We drive a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with over 200,000 miles on it. It has been a good, reliable car that, with proper maintenance, we would fully anticipate it going for another 200,000 miles. It has taken us from 0 kids to 3 and has accommodating our needs each step of the way.
Story
My (now) husband drove me in this car, which now carries our 3 children, to the date on which he proposed.
Pros
Reliability. Quality. Nissan brand.
Cons
Not the smoothest ride, particularly on the interstate. Noisy, especially when on the interstate.

The Nissan Pathfinder is a family oriented SUV with a lot of great features. It rides really smoothly and has a ton of room for my large family and all of our stuff. Whether we are going on a long trip or just going to one of the kids' activities; the size accommodates us perfectly. The kids' love the DVD system and it keeps them occupied and entertained. The vehicle is sleek in styling and is more aesthetically pleasing than many other SUV's on the market. It has a decent fuel efficiency compared to other SUV's I've owned in the past. However, with the hybrid model available - I may look into a trade-in to that model when my lease is up. I really like that I can connect my iPod or iPod to the internal entertainment system - but, since the connection area is inside the middle co... (more)
Story
This story is a little gross but shows how versatile and family-oriented the car is. One of my children got ill on a long trip and vomited all over the seat and onto the floor of the car. Luckily there was a fabric protector on the seats and on the flooring and it cleaned up beautifully.
Pros
The handling of this vehicle is superb and it has a superior turning radius. Even though there is a third row of seating the car is not overly bulky in appearance (which I notice with some SUV's). There is plenty of room for luggage for long trips and for everyone to still sit comfortably. There are ample amounts of comfort features with an iPod hook-up, Bluetooth capability for my cell phone and XM radio. There is a diagnostic feature in cabin that allows me to track fuel economy and also to monitor the inflation of each tire.
Cons
There are a couple of negative aspects of the car for folks with small children. There is no "locking feature" to prevent kids from manipulating the temperature/air conditioner in the rear. I appreciate the ability for backseat passengers to have this feature - but there needs to be a lock (much like the locking mechanism for the windows). Also, it would be nice for the middle console to be able to accommodate a laptop or iPad for storage with a locking feature (but this is a personal preference and does not take away from my appreciation of the vehicle).

The staff was extremely friendly and greeted me as soon as I arrived. I had a TrueCar quote and they immediately honored it, no haggling. The car was gassed and ready to go by the time I filled out the financing paperwork. I have since had the car back for routine maintenance and the service staff were polite and efficient. There was even good coffee available as I waited.
