1998 Nissan Sentra - It stands up to just about everything you throw at it and keeps on running.

The Nissan Sentra is a car that is generally purchased for economy, and it lives up to its reputation as a working car. While it is not considered to be high-end, it performs better than many other cars that are much more expensive. Even with skimpy maintenance, it keeps on running, and many items can be fixed for little cost. It drives well under many different driving conditions, and the car needs very little maintenance other than normal oil changes and the occasional tune-up. All areas of this vehicle have good workmanship, and the materials used are long lasting. The cloth seats are still going strong, even after more than 15 years, and they have not stained or torn. This is exceptional considering the fact that just about anything and everything has been tossed into this car. The... (more)
Story
I take my car to the beach as often as possible, and it is always difficult to find parking. One of the best things about my Sentra is that it is small and can fit almost anywhere when parking. I love being able to slip into a small space that other vehicles pass by. Best of all, my beach chair and cooler are easy to get out of the trunk. That makes it fast and easy to get onto the beach where... (more)
Pros
As an economy car, this car lives up to standard with great fuel mileage in the city or on the highway. It takes regular grade gas, so there are even savings there. It requires no special oil or other fluids, and checking or adding them is easy with well-defined markings in the engine compartment. The suspension is tight, and it holds up well over time. My vehicle has required only one front end alignment over the last 120,000 miles, and it is still in good shape. The car handles well in both steering and braking. Skimpy maintenance has been performed, yet this car continues to roll on dow... (more)
Cons
There are very few negatives about this car, but one is the lack of space in the engine compartment. This is especially true when the bulbs in the headlights need replacing. They open towards the interior of the compartment, and there is barely room to accomplish this. It is even more difficult because only certain parts of the bulb can be handled during the replacement. The windows are another issue on this car. They are electric, and Nissan uses a corkscrew gear to roll them up and down. This type of gear does not hold up more than 100,000 miles, and the inside of the door has to come of... (more)

it's a small car with a small engine so it's good on gas. It's easy to drive and see around you when backing up, which is a plus, as I drive for a living. It has two charging plugs and two cup holders in the front. However, the trim around the driver's side door has come loose. It has no cup holders in the back, and as with most cars these days, it did not come with a lighter or ashtray. Although it drives well and has not needed any major repairs, the engine has a weird ticking noise. Most of the features are very basic: manual seats and basic CD/radio. All four doors automatically lock at a certain speed and unlock when the car is turned off.
Story
I have lost my vehicle in a parking lot, because it's a small silver car that's looks just like a million other small silver cars.
Pros
The gas mileage is my favorite feature, also the two charging plugs. It has not needed any major repairs, only basic maintenance. It has automatic side view mirror adjustment on the drivers side. It also has Bluetooth and ,on the steering wheel, radio and phone buttons. It has a large trunk, and the back seats go down for more space, so you can transport larger items.
Cons
It has no cup holders in the back seat. The glove box does not lock. The trim around the drivers door has come loose. All four doors lock and unlock at the same time, which I find a major con. The engine ticks like the lifters are bad, even though it has done this for years and nothing major has gone wrong with the engine.

Coggin Nissan on Atlantic has been really good to me in the service department. I've gotten all my oil changes here and with each one the staff has been very nice and washed my car for free afterwards. They've even replaced several lug nuts (that Tire Kingdom broke. . . ) for free! As long as I drive a Nissan I will continue going to this dealership. The only downside I experienced was the salesman I dealt with when buying the 370Z knew absolutely nothing about the car. Fortunately I knew what I was buying, but dude, come on!
