The car has performed well in summer and winter weather. The traction on wet, snowy, and icy roads has been very good. The interior of the car is roomy and comfortable. I think the suspension could be improved because the ride is bumpy on patched or uneven roads. However, on major highways, the ride is very smooth and comfortable. The hatchback has sufficient room which can be expanded by lowering the seats and it is easy to access, There is some rattling where the rear seats attach to the back, by the cargo area. This car has been very reliable in the year and a half I have had it. The gas mileage is very good. It is around 18-20 mpg. I drive mostly in local, stop and go traffic. The body and paint are in very good condition. One big plus is the rear seating capacity. The rear seats have exceptional head and leg room for a compact car. Overall I consider this car to be economical, reliable, and comfortable.

The Nissan Versa is a small, good looking car with great gas mileage. The transmission is a CRT transmission, which is not the same as most other makes of cars and requires transmission (as well as a lot of other repair work) to be done by a Nissan dealer only. The transmission often feels like it is slipping when accelerating from a complete stop, but when taken in for a "check up," nothing is found to be wrong--after lots of research I have found that this is actually a very common problem with the car.
