The Nissan Versa is the best car for the value. This vehicle is not for everyone; you have to be comfortable in a compact. Further, there is no console so you and the passenger have nothing between you. I got the SV version used. The car has a continuous variable transmission CVT so it feels a bit strange to drive at first, but once you get the hang of it the Versa can be quite peppy. The doors don't have cloth and so they are easy to wipe down. The in-cabin air filter is a pain to change. However, changing the oil yourself is a breeze. The car requires little maintenance. The donut included with the car is very small. The tires are easy to change as is the battery. The car rattles a bit, especially when its cold. Finally, when the wind blow, this car can be a bit unstable. Overall, I feel comfortable in the vehicle, it gets decent gas mileage. The interior is very roomy for such a small car, but getting three people in the back seat is tough. There is no console in the front.
