2009 Pontiac G6 - Reliable
This car is reliable and better on gas than my previous car. I regret getting black with black interior. I am in the process of purchasing the same car in cream.
Story
It is a great road trip car. Spacious backseat and an easy car to take over and drive even if you do not regularly drive the vehicle.
Pros
I enjoy the features the calculate miles per gallon, average miles per gallon, tire pressure, and when you need to get an oil change. It helps me to plan and adjust my driving accordingly. I do primarily highway driving. I feel I am able to get decent gas mileage while maintaining comfort. I enjoy the sunroof and the electrical drivers seat.
Cons
My car has specialty tires, which makes it challenging to change independently and expensive to get replaced. The gas gauge does not always seem accurate. Once it is at 3/8 a tank it drops significantly quicker than at the beginning.
2008 Pontiac G6 - My little "cricket"
Overall, the Pontiac G6 is a good car. I would trust it to get my from point A to point B without any issues. But it does not come without its flaws. Some are major and some just user preference. But still issues, none the less.
Story
There was one time my boyfriend drove it right into a corn field (on accident). Blew a hole in the radiator, and the car made it all the way home with no coolant.
Pros
Strong engine. The interior is very sleek, and the seats are comfortable. The radio itself is awesome, and the fact that it has a AUX port is amazing. Love that the steering wheel has the tilt option (even though I never use it), but it's nice that it's there. Car gets average gas mileage. But I have the V6 3.4 engine, so that's to be expected.
Cons
Factory speakers are garbage and no matter which year you get, or system that comes with your car, they will need to be replaced with aftermarket speakers. You cannot put a aftermarket radio in this car without spending all kinds of money in other parts to keep the car's computer from thinking that it's malfunctioning. I have had to replace the transmission, radiator, tie rods, sway bar links, and at one point, the entire steering wheel column just came off. And you will have to take it back to the dealership in order to have the transmission serviced. There is no way around it, because yo... (more)

2008 Pontiac Torrent - Expressway Ford Mount Vernon
Seemed to be honest about the automobiles when we told them it was for a family vehicle with small children.
