Pontiac is no longer in business, and I think I know why. The reason is that their vehicles are just too reliable. I bought the vehicle used in 2008. What I didn't know at the time is that this coincided with an abrupt change in my military orders; I was suddenly and unexpectedly sent on deployment. So what does this mean? My (new to me) shiny Pontiac G6 GTP was destined to sit idle for the next 4 years, despite my best efforts to have friends and family periodically move it. So why is that important? Because returning from deployment the vehicle started up on the first try. I didn't need to remove the old gas. I didn't need to change any fluids. After four years setting idle, the car started up immediately on the first try.
Story
As mentioned previously, this car handles surprisingly well. Combined with it's quick and efficient acceleration, it is very fun to drive. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I moved to an area with winding curvy roads in near mountainous terrain. It was a private joy to push the handling around these turns at speeds which would be borderline dangerous in most vehicles, but my G6 GTP never l... (more)
Pros
As mentioned above, this is the most reliable vehicle I've ever driven. After 10 years of personally owning the vehicle I've had zero mechanical failures, besides every day wear and tear. Additionally, the car is incredibly fun to drive. This is in part due to the naturally aspirated 3.9L engine, but what others may not realize is that the car handles incredibly well as well. There's a reason this car is worth nearly 40% of my purchase price, 10 years later!
Cons
As with any vehicle, there are a few flaws. One I want to comment on because it's directly affected me is a water leaking issue related to the moonroof. Along the sides of the moonroof there are drainage tubes. The reason for this is that the moonroof has a small groove where water from rain can collect. This water needs to be removed somehow. Unfortunately, a common point of failure in the moonroof is that the drainage tubes will become insecure, which if left for long enough will result in small amounts of water getting into the interior of the vehicle. As mentioned above, my personal it... (more)

Now, I'm not a "car person." At all. But I know when I drive a car that is reliable. My 2016 Pontiac G6 has been the best used car I have ever bought. I've had a couple problems with the exhaust, but other than that, the car has given me a lot of pleasurable trips. It's not the greatest on gas though. I would have to fill my car up at least twice a week while working about 25 miles away from home. My G6 has never over heated, and I've never had engine trouble at all. I've always kept the oil changed and transmission fluid and all topped off to make sure I was doing my part in keeping my used vehicle up to par as well. I love the sleek look of my Pontiac G6 as well. She's gold with a moon roof that has five different settings so you can adjust it to where you prefer. I have always used ... (more)
Story
Well, I wouldn't call this "fun," but it's definitely memorable. My fiancé let our 14-year-old son pull my car into the driveway, and when he pulled up to the garage and went to put the car in park, he needed to back up a bit because he was just a little too close. My spawn "accidentally" put the car into drive instead of reverse, and he gunned it right into the garage door. In my baby. It def... (more)
Pros
Cruise control. Great sounding factory radio. Dependable, sleek design, moon roof with five settings, and engine doesn't eat up oil and other fluids.

I don't know if it was great, but I wanted to buy a car in a hurry and they provided something decent in my price range.

The dealership worked with our special situation. We recently had our first child, and my current car was not heating at all. We were in dire need of reliable transportation, and cheaply. We found the Pontiac Aztek with low mileage, and at a decent price. Although we knew once the tax and title fees were added we would not be able to afford it. Falls Motor City worked amazingly with us, and we were able to afford the vehicle, and the whole process was quick and painless! I highly, highly recommend them to anyone and everyone I know.
