Grand Am- Not So Grand After All
We bought this car because we needed something affordable (read that as cheap) that would get good mileage and this car only had 106k on the odometer. The Grand Am is fuel efficient and it made my husband happy because we've always had huge granny cars that don't have any giddy-up or handling and this one did. It's nimble. It's become a money pit since then. We'd had it less than two weeks when the fuel pump died. Two months later the starter croaked. The fuel pump failed again. Then it was a fuel rail that GM doesn't make any longer and no one has an after market one. Literally the day our nephew/mechanic got it fixed, the alternator started screaming. Still, when "she's" running well, the car is great on fuel- we average 27mpg (not bad for a 13-14 year old car!)

Great affordable car
This is a great vehicle that I have owned for quite a few years. It is comfortable, roomy and mostly reliable. I only had a few issues over the years, but for the most part, it has been a great car.

The sales person was nice and friendly trying to meet my needs and my budget. The loan officer was courteous but not very prompt and getting approved for financing was a big hassle but all worked out in the end. However it did take way longer than I expected to get approved for the loan. The dealership looked very professional and well managed. Overall I had a pretty good experience purchasing a car from here.
