I would happily buy it again!
I am really enjoying my Subaru Legacy. I am 50 years old and have owned a lot of cars and this may be my favorite. The exterior styling is great. The interior fit and finish is great, and the seats are very comfortable. The head and leg room is fantastic, and the seats are very comfortable. The gas mileage is around 33 mpg with a mix of city and highway driving. Acceleration is excellent considering it is only a four cylinder, and it passing others on the highway nicely. I love the adaptive cruise control, which uses a camera system to keep your car at an even pace from the car in front of you regardless of how much traffic slows down. The all-wheel drive performed great during Maine's winters. The all-wheel drive is 100% full time and is an excellent safety feature. The car is very quiet. The suspension soaks up the road imperfections beautifully. The brakes are powerful. The sight lines are excellent and makes the car easy to use and feel smaller than it is. Navigation work flawlessly. It evens tells me how much time is left on my trips. The back seat is large and comfortable. This is a fun car to take on road trips. My family makes a few trips each summer to Acadia National Park on the Maine coast.

Solid car with adequate power
The 2011 Subaru Legacy is a good all weather car with decent power and handling characteristics. The power to weight ratio is a little lean, but sufficient for every day driving, even in a climate where I live - Central Maine. The all-wheel-drive powertrain supplies enough grip that I was safe all winter on icy and snowy back roads. This would not be a good car for towing a boat or anything that has a decent amount of weight to it. The body panels are too lightweight and dent easy, especially in parking lots where you might encounter the odd shopping cart ding. The interior trim material on the door panels is extremely thin and likely to scratch and tear if you have pets that travel with you. The seats are extremely comfortable but very difficult to maintain as they have endless places that are hard to get into when you spill something - whether that's French fries or pocket change. The angle of the windshield is also a concern: it seems to amplify light from headlights of oncoming vehicles. The transmission, which can be used in a semi-automatic fashion with steering column mounted paddle shifters, is more of a curiosity than it is useful.
