I enjoyed my Subaru Legacy for it's durability during my young years. Having the power of a sports car in a 4 cylinder made cruising to the beach from anywhere in San Diego quick and cheap. Many times while out camping, my car was the only one that could handle the rocky or dirty roads with ease while my friends trucks and cars would get stuck.
Story
I remember taking my Legacy down to blacks beach in La Jolla, CA for a beach gathering we were organizing with our friends. I was able to haul the huge speakers all the way down the hill, saving us at least an hour for our whole team and essentially getting us down before the sun completely set. I adventure that ensued after was much more enjoyable with my newly purchased car parked next to me.
Pros
My favorite feature of the Subaru Legacy would be the amount of space inside. Compared to other 4 door cars coming out, the Legacy feels spacious and open. This can be pretty important when you have black leather and hot California afternoons.
Cons
Unfortunately the backseats fold down but not completely flat. This makes it hard when trying to move something rigid like a mattress or dressed without having to lower the front passenger seat and working the furniture in through one of the back doors instead of the trunk. This would be one reason I might choose a Subaru Legacy wagon next time instead of a coupe.

The Subaru Legacy can take all the abuse I throw at it and still look professional during the week! After owning SUVs and wanting to downsize, I was unwilling to go to a two-wheel drive system. Subaru has a long history of all-wheel drive vehicles, and the Legacy fit my needs perfectly! During the week, I appreciate the attention to detail on the interior, the quality Harmon Kardon sound system, and auxiliary ports so I can listen to my digital library through my iPod. The sunroof is standard and has become one of my favorite features of the car. During the week, I drive to my office job and fit in with the fancy business cars, but on the weekend, I throw a roof rack on top, grab the mountain bikes, and head out onto dirt roads to play. I've even done a river crossing to get to the tra... (more)
Story
I planned a trip to hike to a beautiful alpine lake in the Cascade Mountains of Washington. I had done all my research and driven several hours to get to the trailhead, but on the road leading to the start of the hike, there was a river crossing that had not been mentioned. I had already dedicated many hours, and I didn't want to turn back, so I crossed the river that was 2-3 feet deep and suc... (more)
Pros
There are many pros on this car. The all-wheel drive system is necessary for the weekend warrior venturing off the paved roads, but also comes in handy when the pavement is wet. I donÕt spin out when accelerating on a wet hill, and I can trust that I will not break traction. The seats are some of the most comfortable in any vehicle I have tried, and it really makes a difference on a long road trip. The gauges on the dash are a red color, which make driving at night so much more enjoyable. I canÕt imagine why car manufacturers would choose any other color. The sunroof is a great touch, and ... Cons
As great as this car is, there are a few cons to keep in mind. This is not a large car, and there is minimal room in the back seat. Fully grown adults will feel cramped sitting in the back for any length of time. The trunk space also leaves a bit to be desired. When I pack for a camping trip, the trunk and back seat are completely full of gear, and I tend to pack light. The stereo system is a bit underwhelming when I want to turn up the volume, and as nice as the auxiliary input is, I wish I could control my music from the factory head unit. I should also mention that the all-wheel drive s... (more)
