2000 Subaru Legacy - Long-lasting car
I bought this car used, and it continuously performs well at 205,000 miles. I have traveled with it cross country multiple times, through mountain passes and on beaches. It has served well for me.
Story
While in college, I was travelling back to my parents house for the weekend. It was after dark, and I had turned a corner in a mountain pass and came quickly upon several deer. I ended up hitting a buck and came out with only a broken mirror and some dents. Things could have been so much worse, but my Subaru Legacy stood tough.
Pros
The leather seats have held up remarkably well, given the car's age. There are no holes or worn spots. The functions of different features have held and never had issues, such as the windows, the windshield wipers, the audio system, the CD player, the tape player, the seat warmers, the seat adjustment buttons, and the A/C and heat. I find that very impressive for this car. Also, I think the size of the storage is perfect for its size. The trunk space is spacious and not short.
Cons
The cabin of this car is on the smaller size, which worked well for me in college. But now with my tall husband and small infant, it is a bit crowded. The cabin is short and my husband's head hits the ceiling, and there is very limited leg room in both the front and back seats.
