I love this vehicle. It's among the top vehicles I've driven, if not the best. This car is great for a lot of reasons. It picks up speed fairly quickly, which is useful for the highway, or if you're living in a place that has a lot of up and down (like where I live). The space in the car is great too. My dog, his bed, and luggage can fit in the trunk. Grocery store visits are never an issue as far as space goes. This is a great car for road trips. With a toddler, and a baby on the way, there's plenty of play space, and legroom for the kids in the back, and also a ton of space of front for both the passenger and driver. This car has great safety ratings as far as rollovers, accidents, and other things similar to that. I feel good taking my family out in this car and would absolutely rec... (more)
Story
Taking this car for a drive up into the mountains near where we live. It's a great car to take on trips like that. For us it was important to not only have a vehicle with space, decent gas mileage, and durability, but also we needed a car that could drive through rough terrain, and through a lot of ups and downs (literally). We live close to the Rocky Mountains, and we live in a place that has... (more)
Pros
Great for road trips; space, and gas mileage. Benefits of the space of an SUV without the gas expense. Great accident and safety ratings. Has a rack on top, awesome for travel or if you wanted to put bikes or something on top.
Cons
I have no cons that I can think of as I've never had an issue.

We sold our old car because, even though it was new, we wanted a car that would be more reliable. I posted on Facebook and all my friends suggested I get an Outback. We have three children and we figured out that by purchasing slim line car seats we can fit all three kids in the back. I prefer that to a minivan because I can reach them all to hand them things at a red light and it doesn't use as much gas.
Story
We have driven the car to Florida from Tennessee many times and I love it every time.
Pros
There were several things that appealed to me besides the reliable reputation. First of all, I could put my kids in the middle and the dogs in the back so our whole family could travel together. Secondly, I really like the size of the car, I found that it was off the ground enough for me to feel safe with bigger cars, but was not too huge. We get a pretty decent gas mileage as well. I also think it is kind of funny that a lot of our friends seem to have the same car.
Cons
I can't really think of anything negative except for the price, but I think that is to be expected from a high quality car. I would prefer a price around $15k for a new Subaru. That said, we will probably keep it for a decade so it averages out in the long run.

We had a pretty good experience here. We came in right when they opened on a Saturday morning, and as per usual, salesman were in the parking lot scouting for cars driving in, so we were helped immediately. We had a car in mind we knew we wanted to see, so we didn't waste time doing any useless dancing around for cars we had no intention of getting. When we took it for a test drive, we loved it so we went inside to do paperwork. We being, my husband, four year old daughter, and myself. Our salesman was very nice, and polite. He wasn't too pushy, and he was understanding of our budget and what we were able to do with what we had. Finally about an hour later we met with the finance manager department, and this was the only time I became annoyed. He was extremely pushy on us getting extra... (more)
