As someone who really doesn't deal with cars too often and thus has a limited knowledge the staff was fantastic with me. The salesman fielded any questions I had easily and without judgment, and helped me pick the best car for me and my budget. Would highly recommend them as my Outback is still chugging some years later, and it does great in the NY winter.

The Outback is a great car for the money. While the 4 cylinder isn't the zippiest car in the world, it's enough for most families. The overall build of the car feels solid and safe, especially with the additional eyesight camera, which includes automatic breaking and lane assist. Overall, it's an easy reliable drive; I would recommend to anyone looking for a solid family car.
Story
First week we got the car and wanted to check out the AWD the sales guy had been bragging about, so I take the car into the forest and promptly get the car stuck driving over a log.
Pros
Feel like you get plenty of car for your money. Size makes it practical for families. Comfortable, easy driving. Styling on the premium is nice but not flashy. In-built roof rack. The AWD works pretty well when off roading.
Cons
Speakers are awful, it's not for music lovers. Can feel a little slow to accelerate. Fuel economy is ok, but not great. The trunk isn't as big as you think it is and you'll constantly be removing the shelf. The door of the front center console container sticks all of the time. The outback is raised to help with off road driving, but isn't high enough to drive over larger logs and rocks.

The 2006 Subaru outback is most certainly a beast. I have to say that the engine will most definitely outlast the car itself. I drove it well over 120,000 miles with no engine problems at all. The seating is COMFORTABLE! Which if you've owned a Subaru previously you know that is not necessarily the case. Most definitely a roomy vehicle, I have managed to shove livestock, straw bales and 5 wooden pallets into it with no problems. The perfect North Country vehicle if you don't want a truck. Now the cons... There is a recall on the break lines, not a huge issue but you need to be aware. The throttle sensor going seems to be a common problem and will trip your check engine light. It's a pricey fix but doable. The car gets the classic Subaru rust as well (especially up north) but if you... (more)
Story
I hauled 6 chickens, 4 bales of straw and 3 bags of feed down the highway in this vehicle... Of course I looked insane with hay and feathers flying out of the car but it did the trick!
Pros
AWD Reliable engine Very roomy Durable interior
Cons
Brake issues Throttle sensor problems Typical Subaru rust
