I switched to my Subaru from a 2008 Honda Civic, and I couldn't be happier with the change. I really wanted a car with more passenger and cargo space, and the Outback really hit on both. I also wanted a car that was raised up a little bit, since I live in Los Angeles, and it's nice to see above traffic. In addition to this, I'm into camping and outdoors activities so the Outback clearly fit into that lifestyle as well.

Overall, I really like my car. It is large enough to fit all the gear I need to take with me for camping or climbing trips but still feels maneuverable on the road. I would not describe it as a luxury vehicle by an definition, but the interior has enough features to make long trips comfortable. In terms of performance it feels heavy and does not accelerate very quickly, but on the other hand, it can handle tough and off-road situations.
