My 2003 Toyota Camry V-6 LE is the largest car I have ever owned. When I bought it, I wanted to get something with anti-lock brakes and side-curtain airbags since I needed to commute in L.A. I thought I'd only drive it a couple of years and then get something a bit smaller after the airbags became more popular on other cars. However, after 16 years with no problems at all, I can't find a good reason to sell it. Yes, it's got a lot of miles on it (about 145,000), but I keep it well maintained, and she runs great. It has never leaked ANY fluid on the floor of my garage, even after that many miles. The car has always looked very classy (white with tan interior), and has cast wheels that give it a bit of a "sporty" feel, too. There's a ton of room for suitcases in the trunk (for those long... Story
When the Thomas Fire hit, we literally had only a few moments to load the car and get out. All that storage room and trunk space really helped us to get loaded and out of the garage as quickly as possible. We didn't know it when we left, but we would be gone for more than three weeks, and we had everything we needed all packed up in the car.
Pros
Reliability is the best thing about the Camry. The anti-lock brakes, airbags and the warm, fuzzy upholstery that wears like cast iron are all super, too.
Cons
The size is still a bit large for me, and the styling is a bit on the sedate side (notwithstanding the cast wheels). The lack of peppiness is also a drawback.

This used to be Toyota's slogan. This car was actually handed down to me, and since then I have put many miles on it, it is reliable, nimble, and with enough storage room to haul lumber, groceries, friends, pets, plants. Basically I've treated it like a truck! It still is working great, and sure a few things have needed attention, but at 146K+ that is to be expected. When I got it, only 99K miles were on it, so it has held up well with me. One thing that I have on my wish list is a Bluetooth stereo, I still have the stock radio and the speakers are pretty blown, cosmetic I know. The hubcaps seem to have rolled off of many I see on the road, including mine, so I just left them off. Sometimes, the A/C takes a while to get cool. Without tinted windows, the temp is a bit much at tim... (more)
Story
I had been in the city visiting friends, we all had cats and they were offering a cat condo/tower that was not being used...in my 1999 Camry, we angled this baby in...getting it out was fun too...it stood over 5ft!
Pros
Runs GREAT! Solid ride, ease on the pocket book. Everything electronic works great. Not many issues to be dealt with. Accommodates many uses / spaces Great color choice. Parts are easily available online and in local stores. As long as I take care of it, it will take care of me. The 4cyl works just great. Millions are on the roads today! Easy to use, adjust: seats, belts (seatbelts), windows, mirrors. Many aftermarket products are available. With the power steering and tilt of the wheel, it is easy to maneuver and park, both parallel and in stalls. Just a fun and simple car to have and to... (more)
Cons
Car sits too low, hits parking headers, difficult to get out of at times No sun roof, No trunk button on key fob No tinted on windows No station wagon offered Maintenance cost at the dealer is not user friendly Transmission can be a bit clunky at times Door handle broke off in hand, I've seen others with the same issue, different years Lighting option included headlamps for running lights LED headlamps are not available, at last check Blind spots in rear panels Trunk seems to have no light, at least I am not able to locate one Sometimes to doors do not lock after the key fob has been hit, ... I had done some research at home about what car and price i was willing to pay. When I reached the dealership which I had shopped at before I was greeted by a very friendly salesperson. I just told him I wanted to look around and he gave me his card and left me alone. I hate salespeople that follow you around and hound you. Right off the bat I was comfortable with this dealership. Once I looked around and jotted down a few questions I had about a couple of the cars I found the salesperson that approached me and he answered my questions and helped me make my final decision.

This dealership has some of the nicest staff. They are courteous, knowledgeable, and don't rush you. They offered me coffee while we looked and didn't ever try to up sell a car. They let me ask as many questions, and didn't mind that I had brought my kids. The best part is they don't care if you test drive them all, I test drove 3 cars while I was there.
