This is the second Camry I've owned. I love the space and interior of the vehicle. I also love that fact that all of the parts needed for fixing it are relatively cheap and I love the fact that you can fix most of the problems right at home because everything is it easily accessible. One of the dislikes I guess would be that it is an older vehicle but for how old it is, it's lasted and it well worth the investment that I've made into it. The car is 21 years old and runs better today than some of the "newer" vehicles that I've had or have driven in the past. The size of the trunk is amazing, I can fit my toddlers bike in it as well as a bunch of other things all at once. The inside is spacious and has really stood the test of time. There is some wear and tear but that is to be expected ... (more)
Story
When we moved an hour away from where we lived prior, we could literally fit most of our personal belongings into the car instead of them getting lost in the truck, plus we had room for our toddler! It made the whole process easier and drove so smoothly considering the weight that we had filled into the car!
Pros
My favorite features of the vehicle would be the size of the vehicle in total. I have tons of space inside and the trunk fits everything I need it to. I love that fact that after 21 years this vehicle is still running without having to have had major work done to it, and the fact that the parts are so cheap and easy to install have saved an exponential amount of money for me over the years.
Cons
It is an older vehicle and with the miles racked up over the years, my concern would be with the engine and transmission compensating for the wear and tear that have been put on them. Another thing that I didn't like is that I have to pull a lever for the gas tank to take the cap off when filling, although it is great to have to ward off gas thieves.

I have been driving for 35 years and I have owned only 4 cars, all Toyotas. I have driven more than 1 million miles between these 4 cars, with my current one, a 2001 Camry, having 257,000 miles on it and it is still going strong. The overall endurance quality is hard to beat; the car just keeps on going and going and going. As far as performance goes, its not the best but it does do well for a 4-cylinder engine and today still manages to get about 28 MPG on the highway. My biggest peeve I have about the car, though, is the front-wheel drive gives a pull to the right, more strongly, I believe, than many other cars.
Story
The only memorable, funny thing I can remember concerns a customer of another business in the shopping center where our restaurant was located. She had the same color Camry, probably the same year, and at least 5 times got frustrated with her remote not unlocking the door to the car, even though she kept hearing the unlock noise. Of course, she kept trying to open my car and not hers.
Pros
The best thing about the car is it's a Toyota, so its overall quality is great. Maintenance repairs are minimal. It still gives a fairly comfortable ride, even with over 250,000 miles on it and none of the suspension parts have been replaced. The interior is roomy and can comfortably carry 4 adults, even though it is usually just me, my wife, and our 4 Maltese dogs. It almost seems like the car was designed with the dogs in mind, too. They are small, under 10 pounds, and they can easily walk between the front and back seats, if they want to.
Cons
The worst thing about the car is it doesn't have a lot of power in the 4-cylinder engine. It's great for most of my needs, as I don't spend time in stop-and-go traffic and Florida doesn't have any mountains. However, I feel that if I had still lived in Los Angeles when I bought this car, that I would have needed to spend a little more to upgrade to the 6-cylinder engine. One thing that has happened with this car that I never experienced before, is that I have had to replace the driver's side outside door handle twice as the part that you pull on cracked off. Other than that, I have been ve... (more)

The car salesman sat me down at the very beginning before I even started looking at cars. He had me write down all my requirements. He left and brought around the exact kind of car in my exact price range. I didn't even look at anything because the first car was the one I wanted. They advertise "no haggling" prices, which means neither one of us tries to negotiate. It was so fast and he was very in tune with my needs.

It was really clean, and it just felt very open. Sometimes with dealerships they get a feel that they are closed off, and when you're sitting with your dealer, you're in a cubicle or something. I hate that. This place was very open, and when you sat down, it was at a desk that was very much in the open. I also liked how everything was very organized. All the prices were on the cars, and the dealer knew where every car was and was well experienced.
