Toyota Corolla Owner Ratings & Reviews

2014 Toyota Corolla - Reliable and comfortable.
This was my first newer car purchase, so I am really enjoying all of the integrated technology. Hands-free Bluetooth calling has been fantastic, and now I cannot imagine having a car without it. I also like being able to control the volume and the radio stations without having to look away from the road. I have a back-up camera also, and I love being able to tell how far away I am from the cars behind me, especially when backing up in tight spaces or in parking lots. The interior fit and finish is nice and modern, and the “new car smell” is also a good plus. The great MPG rating is helpful, too. I love being able to go long distances and not spend too much on gas! With Toyota’s reliability, I feel like I will have this car for years to come. I’ve owned other Toyotas in the past... (more)
Story
I live in the metro-Atlanta area, but I’ve used my car to travel all over the country. My job requires me to travel for two weeks out of every month, and usually I try to take my own car since I am paid mileage. A fun story that I have is when I took a work trip to Texas and ended up spending a few days in Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi is located on the Gulf of Mexico, and there’s a nation... (more)
Pros
One of the best things about this vehicle, ironically, is one of the things I thought I was going to dislike the most. The car has a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that does not have standard “gears” like an automatic transmission does. Instead, it uses a steel belt and two cones inside the transmission, to continuously change the ratio that the transmission is in. This gives the car the perfect ratio for when you’re accelerating to maximize the power that the engine is creating. Standard automatic transmissions can be very inefficient if you are revving them higher or lower ... (more)
Cons
The music library and navigation could be much better executed. When you’re trying to navigate through directories and subdirectories of music, especially on a USB drive, the buttons are difficult to press and not everything can be done from the steering wheel. I would prefer being able to go forward and backwards through my different directories and to be able to scroll all with the steering wheel controls. Unfortunately, when you want to change artists or albums, you have to take your eyes off of the road and actually press the touchscreen. I know some other makes and models (especia... (more)
2007 Toyota Corolla - Very reliable car
This is a no-frills vehicle which has never left me stranded in the 8 years I have owned it. I have driven this car from Atlanta to San Diego to New York with no problems. There is plenty of legroom even though it is a compact car. The seats can get a little uncomfortable on long drives, and the paint is starting to fade a little, but when I am looking for a car, I am primarily looking for reliable transportation, and that is what I got. I have only had one mechanical problem and that was with the electronic computer module. A lot of Toyotas were recalled for this issue. Mine was covered under warranty and I had no problem getting it fixed at the local dealership. The heat and AC still work fine after 8 years and 140K miles. This is a 4-cylinder engine, so it doesn't pick up speed as q... (more)
Pros
I love the simplicity of the design. All I want a car to do is get me safely to my destination. Most of the luxury features of modern cars are unnecessary and just add to the price of the car and are generally just more things that can malfunction. Since there are so many Corollas on the road, most mechanics know how to fix them (not that they need repairs very often).
Cons
The seats can get uncomfortable on long drives and this is not the sexiest car on the road.

2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid - Nalley Toyota Of Roswell
The sales staff was very friendly and not pushy. They were willing to work with us on price. They honored an internet offer when we mentioned it. They also agreed to fix a few scratches in the paint and provide us with an additional key fob while providing us a loaner car. Financing was quick and painless, the guy we dealt with was very nice. Also they had the car we wanted in our price range when no one else seemed to.
2007 Toyota 4Runner - World Toyota Atlanta
They are consistently very thorough in the amount of variety that they have. The dealers are very respectable and nice, and are not overly pushy over a certain topic. When we went to get our most recent Toyota (the 4runner), we were in contact with one of the salesman for a few days and was very patient in helping us understand the pros/cons of the car.
