2010 Toyota Corolla - Fantastic and well designed
Total vehicle performance is great from the gas mileage to the construction. What minor mechanical repairs have been needed in over 100,000 miles have been easy and inexpensive. Power is impressive for the small, economical 4 cylinder engine and the truck has more room than you'd expect from a car of this size.
Story
This car has taken us on a number of roadtrips to disneyland and been the gathering place to come home with at the end of those long (but enjoyable!) days at the park.
Pros
The design basics of the vehicle are fantastic. From the easy placement of the controls on the steering wheel (both cruise control and radio controls) to the power and fuel economy, it is an A+ in all regards. Sunroof and rear spoiler add a pleasing aesthetic. Electrical is well designed and has not had any issues, even with the many accessories throughout the vehicle.
Cons
Few issues are found even after longtime use. The floor mats and door seals are starting to show signs of coming loose after years of use but perhaps could have been designed more ruggedly, while the internals of the A/C vents (direction controls) did go out and are hard to get to.
2008 Toyota Corolla - Great Vehicle
The Toyota Corolla is a very reliable car. Besides regular maintenance, I have never had to put extra money into the car and I have just hit 100000 miles. The car gets good gas mileage. I usually get about 31 mpg and I do a combination of highway and city driving. There is lots of room in the vehicle. I have had 4 full grown adults with full golfing gear fit comfortably in the car. The trunk has lots of space, I can fit multiple golf bags with room to spare.
