2006 Toyota Highlander - Best All Around Vehicle
When I bought the Highlander it was to replace a Ford Explorer. The Toyota Highlander had better fuel mileage, nicer interior, and more trunk space for surf boards, luggage, and my families traveling needs. The best part about the Highlander was that the gas mileage was much better than the V8 engine in my Ford Explorer. Even though it saved on gas I did wish that the engine had a little more power.
Story
Taking my kids to the beach means we can fit all the bags, towels, food, body boards, wetsuits and other items in the trunk. Everyone can have a fun trip and aways have enough space.
Pros
The interior is much easier to clean and the seating is comfortable. The trunk can fit up to 6 adult suitcases. With a built in booster seat in the second row you will be able to get rid of the car seat once your child is at the booster seat age. The lift and clearance of the vehicle also makes it easy to use in an offload capability should the need arise. The tires, rim, and suspension are high quality and have yet to fail me even in the most dire of circumstances.
Cons
The only negatives about the Highlander would be that the engine is not as powerful as I would like. For a V6, the power of the 3.3 Liter Engine makes it strain to go up hills and sometime to increase speed in a hurry. The factory brakes have to be replaced with Toyota pads otherwise the brakes will squeak.
2012 Toyota Highlander - Built Toyota tough
I have owned two Toyota Highlanders. As a busy mom, reliability and dependability are two important aspects of a commuter car. The Highlander has both plus more. For a base model medium SUV, it is quiet, great on gas and extremely smooth. I put 200K miles on my 2004 model prior to buying the 2012 model. Only paid for basic maintenance throughout the ownership. The Highlander will not let you down.
Story
Both Highlanders were 2nd homes for my Labrador. She just loved jumping into the car because it meant we're going to Grandma's house or the dog park.
Pros
The trunk space is perfect for my grocery bags, stroller and outdoor toys. If we need too, the trunk space turns into 2 extra safe seats for additional passengers. The smooth ride lulls the toddler to sleep while driving through local stop and go traffic. Not typical for a larger, higher vehicle. There are also a lot of drink compartments which are a must when you carry water for two and coffee everywhere. Its rear seats are of average size to accommodate covers for large dogs who love car rides.
Cons
Because of its size and weight with 4 cylinder engine, it lacks in the "get up and go" department. You will not be winning any races in this SUV.

2007 Toyota Corolla - John Elways Crown Toyota Scion Ontario
I went in there as a new buyer with no credit. They were able to give me a good deal that fit within my budget, and they were really cool about it. They also had a nice selection of cars, and didn't pressure me on any of the upsells. While I'm happy with the car and the deal they gave me, I'm extremely pleased with their customer service. They really go out of their way to treat you well and make you feel like you're getting a great deal.
2003 Toyota ECHO - Autonation Toyota Irvine
I was able to shop online for my car, and did all the price negotiating in this manner. Once I found a car that matched the price I was willing to pay, it was a simple matter of going to the dealership, signing the contracts, and driving home in my new car. It was a very pleasant and easy experience.
