Toyota Prius Danville, IL OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Reliability and efficiency.
The car's efficiency is as advertised. We get mileage around town and on the highway that is possibly even better than we anticipated. We have yet to have any reliability issues. The sightlines in front are an issue that takes getting used to.

Amazing car to own and drive.
I love my Toyota Prius. I purchased it over ten years ago, and it has worked well and given me excellent gas mileage. During the last ten years, I have put 125,000 thousand miles on my car and had very few problems with the car. The brand is a dependable one, and the car handles well. Some of the cons about it are the battery costs more than a regular car's battery to replace, and it needs a new one every three–five years. The car also is on the lighter side, and you can feel the push of heavy winds. These are very small problems to someone who has owned many other cars in the past that have had major engine problems. My first car was a used minivan, and after 110,000 miles, the engine block developed a huge crack and was not worth replacing. The cabin also has room to seat four adults comfortably with cup holders for everyone to rest a drink inside. The car also has a back-up camera which is a very nice tool to help when backing up and parking the car. This has held up very well for me, and with about 43 MPG, it has helped me save money at the pump.

Proud to Prius
The Prius has been one of the most dependable vehicles that I have owned. With nearly 200,000 miles it has yet to have any problems. Gas mileage is approximately 50 mpg. The price is fair based on dependability and the amount that you'll save in gas expenses. This car is a hybrid and comes with several features. One of which is "Eco mode", which allows for you to conserve energy and gas. In this mode, the car will produce less effective heating/air conditioning In order to preserve energy. Another feature of the Prius is steering wheel control switches. These switches are located on the steering wheel and allow for you to adjust the radio station, volume, and the display of console information. Overall, this car is driven a total of approximately 13-15 hours per week. I spend approximately $20-$25 in gasoline every week. One con to this vehicle is that it is slow to accelerate, so if you are merging into traffic then I suggest using the "Power Mode" that allows for faster acceleration. This car also functions with a high rate of electricity, therefore it goes through headlights a bit faster than other cars.

This dealer had the one car in the tri-state area in the model, color, and options I wanted. Other than that, this dealership was horrible. Extremely high pressure, and even the ridiculous tactic where the salesperson had to go to the back office to negotiate on my behalf.
