Used Toyota Prius for Sale in Hempstead, NY

We traded in a Ford Mustang for the Toyota Prius, and it was one of the best cars we have ever had. The seats are very comfortable and, while the car is small, the seating inside is roomy and does not feel cramped. If you have never owned a hybrid before, there really isn't much that we do differently with this car than our Honda Accord. You still need oil changes and regular maintenance just like a regular car, and you don't need to plug it in. The gas mileage is incredible! We usually average around 45 miles per gallon, but we once went well over 500 miles on one tank. It was amazing! I actually forgot where the gas tank was a few times since the fill ups are so infrequent. Twice I have run out of gas while driving, but the nice thing about the Prius is that even if you run out of gas, the battery will kick in and give you a few more miles to get a gas station. Because of this I have never been stranded on the side of the road. The car also has quite a bit of pep for a four cylinder! I live in the mountains and never feel like we are slowly chugging up the hill. The only thing I don't like about the car is the gas tank. For some reason, gas pumps stop automatically around nine gallons. I have to keep pressing the gas handle to pump the remaining three gallons, which usually takes longer than the first nine did! Overall, it's a great car with lots of room -- with the back seat folded down, we easily fit an Olympic-size weight bench in our trunk!

I really love my Prius. I've own all sorts of cars in the past mostly high end - Porsche Boxster, Cayenne, and others - Denali and Civic. What wanted me to change cars was the fact that I was spending a lot on gas and wanting better technology. I am pro- environment, pro-saving money and gave the Prius a try. I have no complaints I absolutely love this car. And highly highly recommend it.
