2007 Toyota Prius - Amazing car to own and drive.
I love my Toyota Prius. I purchased it over ten years ago, and it has worked well and given me excellent gas mileage. During the last ten years, I have put 125,000 thousand miles on my car and had very few problems with the car. The brand is a dependable one, and the car handles well. Some of the cons about it are the battery costs more than a regular car's battery to replace, and it needs a new one every three–five years. The car also is on the lighter side, and you can feel the push of heavy winds. These are very small problems to someone who has owned many other cars in the past that have had major engine problems. My first car was a used minivan, and after 110,000 miles, the engine block developed a huge crack and was not worth replacing. The cabin also has room to seat four adults... (more)
Story
I drove the car to Florida and bragged to my friend there about how much the gas cost me. He said I spent as much as it costs him in a week driving to work.
Pros
Gas mileage, size, cup holders, back-up camera, dependability, handling, power windows, USB port, Bluetooth phone, and cabin room.
Cons
Weight, cost for batter, and purchase cost.
2010 Toyota Prius - Reliability and efficiency.
The car's efficiency is as advertised. We get mileage around town and on the highway that is possibly even better than we anticipated. We have yet to have any reliability issues. The sightlines in front are an issue that takes getting used to.
Story
The monitor that shows when the gasoline motor kicks in really affects your driving habits. We noticed that living in such a flat area, cars that can't wait to pass us when they see a Prius accelerating in front of them are always right next to us at the next stop light.
Pros
The mileage is superb. Controls and handling are better than expected. If for some reason you want to burn more gas and drive fast, you can put the car into "Power" mode and accelerate much more quickly. The cab is more spacious than I expected. Thanks to the large rear door, with the seats folded down, there is a surprisingly large amount of storage capacity. Under the floor of the trunk there is a small compartment to put things you need to carry around but want out of the way.
Cons
The sightlines in the front of the vehicle are pretty bad thanks to the angle of the frame. Eventually you get used to this and compensate, but when you first drive the car your peripheral vision will feel restricted. The car is so quiet that you must remind yourself to put it in park and turn the vehicle off when you are finished driving. Oil changes are more expensive than in a ICE-only car.

2013 Toyota Corolla - David Bruce Toyota Cadillac Bourbonnais
The people that work at David Bruce are amazing! There are never pushy, and never try to up sale people. The treat people with respect and really care about putting people in the car they want and can afford.
2009 Toyota Corolla - Bill Kay Honda Bourbonnais
The salesman were not pushy and listened to what I said I wanted in a car. The lot had many cars to choose from. They offered free services if I bought the car. The paperwork was hassle free and fast. They made the buying experience painless.
