My Toyota Tundra is a double cab, four door, 4x4 SR5 pickup and a dang good vehicle. I switched to this vehicle because I had an infant that needed a much larger rear-facing car seat than I was used to. The double cab makes this easy with latch built into the rear seat! There's enough room that I can put it behind the drivers seat without scooting it forward. This truck could easily fit two or maybe even three car seats in the back if needed. It also has rear vents for keeping little ones warm or cold as needed. Push button 4x4 makes the truck highly capable of off road or snow travel. The 4.7L v8 has plenty of power for getting out and going; the only drawback is it uses a timing belt that has to be replaced periodically. Gas mileage though is unimpressive, 13 to 16 mpg is typical for... (more)
Story
We took the truck camping just off Lake Michigan at Wilderness State park; it was raining so hard when we got there that we couldn't set up our tent. Instead, we ended up staying in the truck overnight and had a blast!
Pros
Interior space! Fits four adults comfortably! My favorite feature though is the power rear window; it really makes air flow when its down!
Cons
The biggest drawback is the poor gas mileage. Also, at this point, the vehicle looks a bit dated. The front-end styling is clearly early 2000s design, but it doesn't impact how well it works!

2012 Toyota Tundra - Great truck

I recently purchased my 2012 Toyota tundra rock warrior. It is completely black with the black interior as well. I have very few complaints about it. It rides amazingly smooth. We've driven it on a long trip already and have no complaints on the truck. The back up camera is great to have especially for a larger vehicle like itself. Gas mileage is really the only downside to this vehicle and you have to come to expect that with any truck of its size. As far as looks go, I love it. I don't think there is a better looking truck out there. There are so many gadgets and storage spots I'm still finding new things about the truck out every day.
Story
The purchase is fairly new so no fun stories yet unfortunately.
Pros
The truck offers great performance. Not only is it powerful for tough jobs like towing something, it's still got an amazingly smooth ride for everyday driving. I love the size of the truck as well as the room it's offers is passengers. We are more comfortable as a family of 4 in my truck than in my wife's car which is not typical for trucks. The rear back up camera is great to have as well.
Cons
I don't really have anything negative to say about the vehicle itself. When you go to purchase a vehicle of Its size, I feel like you know what your getting into gas wise. Yes, I spend a lot to fill my tank of gas. To me, it's worth it. The only other con is to my wife, in which she prefers not to drive the vehicle because of its large size and she says she feels like she is driving a Mack truck. But that too is a preference thing.
