My Jetta is a great little car. I get very good gas mileage which is important to me since I have a long commute to work. The Jetta looks great and stylish on the outside and the interior is superior to most vehicles in the same class. I think the Jetta is quite roomy for the size of the vehicle and it's a comfortable, smooth and quiet ride. All of my passengers seem to love my Jetta also, they don't feel smashed together or claustrophobic. I also like that it's extremely reliable. In the 11 years I've had it, I have had almost no issues with the vehicle. I've driven over 200,000 miles in the car and it still feels and works just as well a when I purchased the car. Because I like my Jetta very much, despite it being a little old, I intend to drive it as long as possible. When I buy a r... (more)
Story
I love driving my Jetta up to the mountains. It's a pleasure to drive and I always enjoy the ride and the view. It also drives great in the snow-- which is a must for me as I snowboard frequently.
Pros
I get great gas mileage even in Los Angeles traffic. I really like how open and spacious the vehicle is for its class.
Cons
I really have nothing to complain about, this vehicle has met my needs and exceeded my expectations. I can't think of any negatives about the vehicle-- maybe just that my stereo system is a bit dated because of the age of the car.

This is the first car that I ever bought and I bought it used outright at a used car dealership. I loved it at first, I've always loved the look and style of a Jetta and was so excited to get it. I love the shape of it, and it was a black car which I thought was sleek and stylish. I had leather seats which were nice, and the seat warmers were absolutely amazing! I loved the sunroof and the stereo was great. I loved this car so much.. Until I started getting problems! First of all the front of the car was lowered, so I constantly would pull the front end off my car if I parked anywhere where there was the little concrete marker in the parking space. Then there were so many issues with the car, it would constantly overheat, it needed a new alternator because the battery kept dying, it ne... (more)
Story
I loved driving my car around the beach by my college. I remember one time I came out to find my boyfriend sitting on the top of my car with his bottom through the sunroof just chilling. It was cute and memorable and I took a picture to remember it.
Pros
I loved the way the car looked- it was black with tinted windows. The inside had leather seats which were very nice and comfortable. There was a seat warmer which I used all the time since I was living in an area which was freezing in the morning. There was a sunroof which I love having in cars because I love the extra breeze it gives while you're driving; with long hair its hard to have the driver side window down because it whips my hair in my face and it's hard to drive but with the sunroof open it doesn't do that. I loved the stereo system and the compartments to store my stuff in.
Cons
I wanted this car to work for me so bad but it just had so many problems. I would fix one problem like my car overheating for example, but then not even a week would go by with the car operating normally when my check engine light would go on. Then my car battery was dead but the battery was fine, it ended up needing a new alternator. One problem after the next, and it was so stressful and frustrating. It was so unreliable and I constantly was having car problems while using this car.

The experience of haggling at traditional dealerships is daunting and uncomfortable at best. With Carmax, Things are clear and the process is simplified and backed by company-wide procedure standards, upholding their end of the deal. The car might cost 1000 dollars more out the door than if you successfully haggle a regular dealer, but if you purchase the warranty and know what you're buying, Its much less likely you will end up getting screwed in the long run.
