VW Jetta.
This car has lasted my many years without any big problems. Every problem is easily fixable on my own. It's never broken down and left me stranded. I've been hit by two other drivers with this car, and not gotten injured in any accident. The body of the car is very well built.

Great car for the money
VW Jetta is a good solid car. If you are looking for a midsize car in good price range, I would highly recommend Jetta. We bought ours in 2015, and the car was 2013 model with fairly low mileage and only paid $12,000 for it. It is a nice-looking car with roomy interior space and a large trunk space. It has five cylinders, instead of four or six. It does have enough get and go to drive up the hills with no problem. It has 15-gallon gas tank, and we get about 35 miles per gallon in freeway and little less on city street. It does take all synthetic oil, so your oil change will cost more, but you need far less frequent oil changes. Engine is quiet and the ride is smooth. I think this is one of our best choices when it comes to car purchase.
