A powerhouse of a car
I bought the Jetta used in late 2007. It had a smidge over 10,000 miles when I picked it off the lot. I loved the way it handled, and the way it still handles at over 100,000 miles. The sound system sounds great and surrounds you as you cruise down the highway. There are no noises while driving - road noises are quite minimized. The radio that came with the car is not fancy, though - no Bluetooth capability, but, it does have an AUX connection... in the glove compartment. Now, two kids later, it can still haul us and plenty of food in the trunk. One of the funniest moments during the car purchase happened when the sales person climbed inside of the trunk to show how much space was available - granted, she was a petite woman, but she fit in there quite nicely - she was maybe 5'3" and a small build. I feel that I would definitely be able to fit in the trunk if I had the need to.

Impressed by how long it lasted
I had an older model, 1996 VW Jetta, that I owned from 2008-2011. It was well loved, beat up, and a base model, but it never quit running. It was kind of incredible how long it lived. Things I liked: It was dependable. It was my daily driver for three years and I never had a major problem with it even at 25 years old. It was good on gas and didn't cost a lot to fill up, even at $3/gallon. Things I didn't like: Things were coming off easily, the trim, the handles, the radio knobs. There was an issue with the oil, where even if it was just a LITTLE BIT low, a "low oil" piercing, horrible alarm would go off. I can't tell you how many times I pulled over in a panic, only to find that I was MILDLY low on oil. Also, everything was extra expensive to fix, even though it was an older car. The tires were hard to replace because they were so small. Still, overall I was impressed with the Jetta and would possibly buy a new model.

I like this Volkswagen dealership because it's so close by. I've always been a fan of Volkswagen, but something about being here seems like home. I just wish I could've seen some more deals.
