Never did I think a car almost as old as I am would be this amazing! My little red bug, which will be a legal adult next year, is more reliable and sturdy than any of the newer cars in my driveway! With proper maintenance this little car should last another 18 years if not longer and until it dies or I have to I will keep it as my car. Its gas mileage is high enough to make so called 'high mileage' car owner squirm. It's little but I've taken it off road, over fords that other cars wouldn't cross, out of state trips, and over a few obstacles that it probably wasn't intended to cross. For a compact car it packs a wallop! I can carry multiple weeks worth of luggage, plus a guitar and gig equipment, and anything else I'd need in it easily without even trying to pack it and still able to carry a passenger. The front seats are spacious and comfortable, and you wouldn't believe the leg room. The exterior has held up well, although it's about ready for more paint. The interior has shown wear. The glove box is barely held together, and I upgraded the seats to leather, although the old ones weren't bad. Plus it's stick shift! In the face of guys who say girls can't drive stick!

I loved the look of the car. However, it had huge problems with accelerating.
