My 2007 Buick Lucerne has gotten me from point A and point B reliably. It's never had any issues starting and runs like new despite being pre-owned multiple times. Additionally, it has heated seats, auto-lock doors and first unlocks the driver's door when the unlock button is pressed (which is good if I'm the only one, especially during nights). One qualm I have about it is that when I am going over a large bump, often times the front end will scratch the road or pavement.
Story
My friend and I would take it on road trips. It's funny because nobody would expect that this car can go, but it accelerates pretty darn fast.
Pros
The 2007 Buick Lucerne has heated seats, a heated steering wheel, electronically adjustable side-view mirrors, adjustable seats (with firmness adjustments too). All of these things are incredibly nice and makes driving fun and relaxing because of the luxury. This might not seem much to people who have driven newer cars, but for a 20 year old, this is all I can ask for. Also, the insurance rate on the Lucerne is significantly lower than other vehicles, so it's a great purchase for one's kid who just started driving.
Cons
There are no rear windshield wipers, which can be frustrating and an annoyance. As mentioned before, the vehicle will likely scrape the road if one hits a bump (especially in neighborhoods with dips in the road or when backing in and out of a driveway). The tire pressure monitor malfunctions in my vehicle a lot, but I'm not sure it does that in every one. The trim inside of the vehicle (near the steering wheel) reflects the sun (especially during the summer) and might cause some issues for some people. One other thing that slightly annoys me is that the seat sits too low and doesn't offer ... (more)

Car ran wonderfully. Purchased at 85k miles, drove 'til 160k miles. Only had general maintenance and a couple of minor mechanical issues in that time. Inside, the drive was very quiet even at interstate speeds. Power to spare with the V6, could hold a good speed and even accelerate up steep mountain passes.
Story
Drove over Red mountain pass in Colorado and was able to make the best time from one side to the other that I have ever made.
Pros
Spacious interior makes for a comfortable ride. V6 engine with ample power available for driving the mountains of Colorado. Good quality audio system brings your favorite music to life while you drive. Low overall cost of ownership. Great fuel economy, averaged 28 miles per gallon on the highway and usually around 22 miles per gallon in town. Large trunk makes trips to the store a breeze. Also plenty of room in the trunk for luggage when on vacation or a long trip.
Cons
Turning radius is not the best. Given the overall length and width of the car, this can make it somewhat harder to navigate in tight parking lots. Three out of the four window regulators gave out at around 140k miles. To have these replaced by a shop would have been a few hundred dollars each. Replaced them myself for a total of $300. Was not an easy job, but sure beat paying shop labor. Also, the water tube from the water pump to the block gave out. Original part was plastic and simply broke. Aftermarket replacements available made of aluminum, easy install.
