The blazer is ok because it has a good v6 engine in it and it has 4 wheel drive, if you can get it to work. The interior panels and trim can pop off or become unfastened when you close the doors or hit rough roads.
Story
I live in the mountains in a small town, there is lots of good off road places to go and I do use it for fun as well as work. I really enjoy having 4 x4 when the roads start to flood around here the blazer has got me thru most of it, I came close to getting washed off the road once when it was flooding, a friend and I were beginning to panic since the blazer would not go into 4 wheel drive and... Pros
The blazer has fair ground clearance for off road use and an engine with enough power to get you most places. A comfortable ride for everyday use.
Cons
The tire mount was old fashioned and ugly as heck. The mileage could be better as could the electrical wiring. The interior is cheap and sloppy work. This another American assembled car with the lowest grade parts they could find. Typical of American assembled cars and I will buy a Nissan next time.

An excellent vehicle overall. Great interior space that can be converted to carry cargo. Additionally, the removable top is excellent for fun and sunny weather. Incredibly durable and reliable craftsmanship using widely available parts means the vehicle lasts long and is inexpensive to repair. Can be modified with aftermarket parts that are readily available, including leaf springs, wheels, tires, front and rear ends, transmissions, and engine. Fits a wide variety of GM engines and transmissions.
Story
Once I drove this vehicle through an off-road trail designed for small recreational vehicles. At one point, we found a muddy circular pit that looked fun to drive through. When we drove in, the vehicle, which was lifted roughly eight inches from its stock height, quickly sunk into the mud to the point where water poured in over the rolled down windows. With little surprise, we navigated the ex... (more)
Pros
Convertible. Reliable GM 350 CI engine. Four-wheel drive. Easily converted into heavy duty vehicle up to 1 1/2 ton. Easily lifted with new suspension or bushings. Can fit large and wide tires with lift, for off road. Short wheel base is excellent for off road. Quadruple front shock absorbers. Power windows and door locks. Sliding rear windows (canopy). Powered rear window. All metal construction.
Cons
Running gear is only 1/2 ton. Convertible canopy is heavy. Short drive lines limits lift height.
