Compact SUV
The Chevrolet Equinox is the perfect automobile for busy families. It is stylish but still practical with great gas mileage and dependability. It easily seats five adults comfortably with plenty of room for groceries, luggage, or whatever you need. It sports a roof top luggage rack as well. The back seat folds flat for more cargo room. It has optional towing capacity. There is no terrain too rugged to navigate with its all-wheel drive train. Overall, the car is well engineered and easy to drive. Upgrades to the interior would probably attract more buyers but otherwise a great car.

Don't do it
So I acquired this SUV shortly before the birth of my second child. I felt like I needed more room for my growing family. It seemed like a great idea to get. There was plenty of room in the back seat for a car seat as well as the bench seat moving back to accommodate longer legs. The front driver seat is a comfy bucket seat with controls to adjust back support, height, and closeness to the wheel, perfect for the large height difference between my spouse and I. At the time I felt like this vehicle would be the perfect fit for us...Until about eight months after purchase. The first thing to go out was the automatic seat controls. The seat is now stuck in one position, and it is an expensive fix. The next thing was the rear window, permanently stuck in the up position. Then the electrical panel went on the fritz and now flashes or turns off at frequent and random times. Parts of the inside door trim have snapped off, I suspect with the heat of summer. And a plethora of engine troubles that have cost me a few thousand dollars. All of these problems have happened over the course of a year, and the cost of them have left me in a position where I am unable to save for a better car. I don't recommend the model to anyone.

Solid customer service and a huge selection to look at from base level Chevy's to Cadillac. Prices are decent but they are not willing to haggle much. Most of the time I could get them to bring the car out and I could inspect the car alone without being harassed too much.
