The car has really stood the test of time. There is over 200,000 miles on it and it is still going strong.
Story
I get stopped all the time outside of stores in the parking lot by people asking me what color the car is. From one angle it looks blue, but from the other angle is looks purple.
Pros
The car is very roomy and has a large trunk. The leather seats and the rest of the interior is very well made, looks expensive and has stood the test of time. We have had to do very little repairs on the car in the past ten years. The color of my car is laser blue. This was an unusual color. You do not see very many of them. I have gotten a lot of compliments on the color of the car.
Cons
From the very beginning there has been a banging in the steering wheel when you turn it. I have had it to the dealership several times and it has not been fixed. My own personal mechanic states that this is normal on the Impala. There is something about the rod going down from the steering wheel. It is in two pieces and there is a boot around the joint that is filled with grease. This does not last long, the grease wears away and the knocking will start all over again. There is nothing that can be done. It is poor design.

I have a silver, 2012 Chevrolet Impala. I previously owned an Impala so, while I wasn't necessarily looking to replace it with another Impala, I knew the Impala was a good car. Knock on wood, I've not had a single problem with the car in the 3 years I've owned it. It has a spoiler too - which I didn't want at first - but now I kind of like it. It isn't as flashy as Camaros or Mustangs but it gets the job done, totally dependable. An example of not be the best at anything but doing EVERYTHING pretty well
Story
Most of my friends drive trucks so when there are 3 or 4 of us going to a ball game or a road trip, I'm usually the one driving. Lots of laughs and memories just in the drives.
Pros
I like that everything is power, the car looks nice and "grown up", it gets good gas mileage and has plenty of space to transport multiple people. Lots of trunk space (without being a station wagon-ish car). I like that it's Chevy's "staple" car - so I know they care about making it a quality car.
Cons
The main negative is that you aren't going to get heads turning in your direction just for driving an Impala. It's not a hybrid either, so you do have to put gas in it.

They worked me with even though I didn't have perfect credit. The car I got through them was better than I'd expected to be able to afford, and they gave me the best deal out of all the places I went to.

They were willing to overlook technical financial approval procedure by accepting more as a down payment and just using general good judgment in interviewing me and asking a few questions that were used to gauge my willingness and feasibility of paying them back. Most dealerships are lazy and follow a rigid approval process that omits risk but costs them potential customers.
