The body is very high quality. The engine is also reliable. The main problems are with the electronic system. Lights will randomly stop working and some sensors have failed. The entire control module failed as well. Overall it was good for the price, but I will not be buying this car again.
Story
Some friends had a road trip throughout the US.
Pros
Engine is reliable. It is a lot of fun to drive. The highway gas mileage is good.
Cons
The electronics are constantly failing and putting the driver at risk.

The Chevrolet Impala has always been dependable for my family. With features to accommodate trending technology and cargo needs, this vehicle can get it done. The car ages well overall and has enough power to do what I need it to do. Storage space is never really an issue. Passengers are more than comfortable with climate controlled cabins and stable ride.
Story
I remember the first day I drove the car home. The paint was shiny, the engine purred like a kitten and many thought I had a brand new Chevy. Little did folks know that it was two years old and had almost 20k miles on it already -- when taken care of, the Impala ages very well.
Pros
The build quality of the LT model is luxurious enough to be attractive yet simple enough to not drive up insurance rates and alleviate the "more to go wrong" stereotype. As a bigger person, I like the old body style that is being phased out even in the fleet models. The instrument clusters and computer interactions with the vehicle are mostly informative and accurate. The trunk is large and has breakdown rear seats to give you that extra 1-2 feet of space when you need it if you don't haul things regularly other than groceries or a trunk full of boxes.
Cons
One of my dings on the newer Impala line is the body style. Unless you're under six feet tall and less than 200lb, you'll most likely have some trouble fitting into the LT1 body style, which is a shame. The Impala line has also not addressed the road noise that is present in the cabin at highway speeds. Additionally, the OnStar service doesn't provide enough value for the dollar which leads many to let the service go dark. If the price dropped by 50%, I'm thinking many more would use it. The new "fly-by-wire" engine/transmission response is not what it used to be. I don't like the lag in m... (more)

The friendliness of the sales person. The showroom itself was nice and clean. They were quick to answer any questions I had. And after I purchased this car the sales person emailed me a few times to see how our new car was working out.

Gene Stocker was a great man to buy a car from. He was very nice and did everything in his power to make sure that I got exactly what I wanted at the best price. He worked with me every step of the way and also took me on numerous test drives until I had the perfect truck for me.
