A great small SUV for day to day travel and hauling small stuff.
Purchased this car used with just over 50K miles on it. The car has been nothing but great to date. It's had its fair share of repairs needed, but that is to be expected with a car that is over 10 years old. I have been able to do most of the repairs myself which has been really nice. The repairs that have needed a trained mechanic to address have been fairly priced. I love all the room I have in the vehicle to haul small items from groceries to camping equipment to home and garden materials.

Smooth Ride
The Chevy Equinox is a great car to drive with a very smooth ride. I especially appreciate all the hands-free operations for taking phone calls and sending texts. My model is the LTZ, so it has all the bells and whistles with leather seating, heated seats, motorized fully adjustable driver and passenger seats, and an automatic tail gate opener. This last is one of the best features, especially after a day of skiing when I can just press the button on my key fob and the back is already open when I get to the car. The Equinox has an especially roomy back passenger area with lots of leg room. To get better gas mileage, I went for the injected 6 cylinder, so at times it seems a little sluggish. But for the most part I get all the power that I need. I've had the car since the end of February and have put about 3,000 miles on it, both on the highway and in town. I made a couple of longer trips and really enjoyed the ride. My major complaint is that I haven't found the perfect driver seat setting so that I can lock it. I just keep making small adjustments.
