I have had this car for about 6 months now and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. I bought the car after I burned out the clutch in my mustang. The ford escape had over 100,000 miles when I bought it and the vehicle still runs great. It has given me good gas miles still around 25. I really like how spacious the vehicle is and I like the leather seats. The moon roof and navigation systems are nice additions. I am looking forward to see how well it will work in the snow this winter. The escape is a V6 but I think it is losing some of its power since it has over 100,000 miles in it. I have taken the vehicle in off road situations and have had no problems getting stuck. I wouldn't trust it towing anything though. Story
I am from the Pittsburgh area and this vehicle has allowed me to buy a kayak which in turn allows me to kayak the rivers during the pirates games!
Pros
The things I love about the vehicle are the amount of space. I really like the leather seats and the heated seats. I also really like the moon roof and that all of my stuff is electronic. I like the center media center. The navigation is great and the satellite radio is a great addition. I also really like the rear windshield wipers. I like how the rear door opens up with the window and the door. I also like the buttons on the door to open the door without having to use my keys.
Cons
The car makes a creaking noise around turns. The vehicle has seem to lost a bit of power. I don't like the power window location I tend to put down the rear windows when I mean to put down the front windows. The rear windows also don't go down the whole way and back seat passengers complain about it.

Overall, the Ford Escape is a great SUV. It has enough get up and go to get you where you need to go and is small enough to park anywhere. The heating and A/C work fantastically. We have put on almost 90,000 miles, and it is going strong! The ride is very smooth, it is more like riding in a car than in a SUV. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone! In fact, my in laws bought one on our recommendation. They too love theirs.
Story
We can fit all of our merchandise stuff and tables and wrestling gear in this car and not have to lay the back seats down.
Pros
The horsepower of this vehicle is amazing. The mpg is also very good. The heating and A/C is one of my favorite features.
Cons
The cons: I like to have control over when to put it into four-wheel drive, and this one does it automatically. I would rather be able to do that for myself. I also do not like how low to the ground it sits. When going from a Jeep Liberty to the Ford Escape, it is like night and day.
