Old faithful
Chevrolet Impalas have been around forever and I am a faithful Chevrolet owner. My wife use to love her Ford Focus (insert bad noise here) before we met, and once I got her into the Impala she was in love with the very spacious, smooth ride. After all, it's the same chassis used for Cadillac. It's very quiet and the 3.5 liter V6 will surprise you when you need it to. I find it to be very stable in bad weather and it averages 31 MPG doing 80 MPH on Florida highways, I believe it could do a bit better in cooler climates.

The Best Family Car Ever
My 2009 Chevrolet Impala is one of my favorite vehicles I have ever owned. I have always been a huge Chevrolet fan and I greatly enjoy being able to say I drive an American vehicle. My car is top notch with leather interior and a Bose speaker system. I actually bought subwoofers and an amp to put in the trunk years ago, and the stock system was better! The two level seat warmers in the driver and front passenger seats are amazing! The trunk is ridiculously large, and the back seat has leg room for the entire family. There have been a few glitches in the car that have needed repeat repairs. One of them is the blend door actuators behind the dashboard (they allow you to change the A/C from cool to heat). Over the 6+ years I have owned this car, I've replaced that part 3 times. It's a pain in the butt, but thankfully a rather inexpensive part. I had a great experience with financing through my local Chevrolet dealer. I would recommend financing certified preowned if you can't come up with a large amount up front. Also, make sure you have decent credit. Most dealers price gouge their interest rates if you have less than desirable credit.

They had a well maintained car, with a clean carfax, for a very low price.
