The entire Lumina series by Chevrolet from about 1996 to 2001 utilizes the same body and frame, along with a fantastic 3.1 V6 engine that will last well into the 200,000 mile range if you take care of it. The interior is soft and comfortable, and incredibly spacious... The Lumina is an incredibly safe automobile, and is incredibly cost-efficient as well. It gets great mileage at around twenty-seven or so miles a gallon, and replacing parts on it is not only cheap, but simple!
Story
Taking a road trip to Canada with a buddy, we wound up crashing in the car that night!
Pros
You can actually sit 6 people in the car, with ample trunk space as well. I'm an avid biker, and have no issues storing my bike in the trunk when traveling to new trails! One can also easily throw a bike rack on the back of the car as well if desired.
Cons
The primary downside to the entire Chevrolet Lumina line is that you have to replace the intake manifold gasket at around the 100,000 mile mark, or you risk destroying the engine. Pretty severe, right? The OEM part is cheap plastic, and replacing it with a good brand like Fel Pro will do the trick. Another con is that the Lumina line was discontinued after 2001 (probably because the cars were simply built almost TOO well), meaning that you'll likely find a lot of miles and/or rust on a lot of today's Luminas circulating the market. After all, the "youngest" of the line is actually a 14 yea... (more)

The car is actually a Chevy Malibu, (there was no option for such). I've lived with it for the past eleven years, where it served as a daily driver for a ~75 mile daily commute. It's lasted over 200k miles, and rarely needs repairs. All I've needed to do is touch up paint, and I don't care about the vehicle's appearance.
Story
The car has been through a lot, but nothing that revolves around itself exclusively.
Pros
My favorite feature about the car is its durability. It's lasted 200k miles, and I hope it will last me to 300k.
Cons
There isn't anything I can think of off the top of my head. The car has done its job, and to me, that's all that matters. If it were anyone else I might say that the car isn't sporty. Actually, the one con I just remembered is that you need some specialized equipment to replace the cd player/radio - the factory default is wired up with all the car sounds, and the new one won't work without a part that has these programmed in.

I really enjoyed working with this dealership, primarily because of how down to earth everyone was but additionally because of how willing they were to go the extra mile for me. I was interested in a 2015 Mazda but unfortunately with my current financial situation that wasn't a great option for me. They helped me find the features I loved in the car I first saw in a more simple and affordable vehicle that I am absolutely in love with! It suits me so well. From start to finish they were friendly and professional. I would recommend this dealership to everyone.
