The Chevrolet Spark is a unique and sporty looking compact car. The overall appearance and feel of the Spark is appealing. It's stylish, different, and catches the eye of other people. When I first test drove the Spark, I knew that the size was maybe a bit smaller than what I was looking for. While it was a comfortable ride without my son in the back seat, when he is with us the space is a little cramped. In addition to comfort, there is not much room in the back/trunk area for groceries, strollers, or other types of things you may need to bring along. However, despite the size, we went ahead and purchased the vehicle. The main motivating factor for us to buy is that the car was very cost effective. It was much less expensive than other cars in the same class. Additionally, we were given several modern features such as a touch screen radio for that price. The Spark rides really smoothly and is also great on gas. Putting five dollars in the tank usually is enough to give us a quarter of a tank. On average, it gets about thirty five to forty miles a gallon. Aside from oil changes we have not had to take the car in for any special maintenance. It is a quiet car and we do not have any major issues with blind spots or rough handling. The Spark is a blast to ride. It handles great and turns on a dime. It is small enough to take corners well and navigating the highways in heavy traffic is a breeze. The only downside to she small size of the car is that it is not as easily visible to other drivers. The car does not accelerate as fast as some cars I have driven but I do not find that to be a big problem. The brakes are excellent and it seems to handle well on the snow and rain. I feel very safe behind the wheel.
