My PT Cruiser was a good car. It ran well for up to 90,000 miles. It's a very comfortable car to drive and ride in; however, they don't get the best gas mileage. I drove it regularly up and down the California coast as well as to Las Vegas and northern Arizona.
Story
I placed two dog beds in the roomy backseat for my dogs to travel with me. They never complained.
Pros
I loved how roomy it was inside. It made for a great car to travel in. I generally pack lite to travel, but my wife is known to bring three full-sized suitcases for a weekend getaway. The PT had plenty of room for all of it. They are very easy to see out of in traffic. I prefer checking my surroundings as opposed to only using the mirrors. They provide a good 360 degree view. The standard stereo/CD player sounded great.
Cons
The A/C went out at 50,000. Not much in the way of power. Pretty gutless, which can be a pain in traffic. I began to have electrical problems around 90K miles. After putting some money into it, I decided to sell it.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser - Not very durable. Constantly breaking down.

The vehicle is decent provided you take extreme care of it. The paint material used is not good, and the heat from the engine as well as the sun destroy it over time. The engine mounts have a defect in most 2005 cruisers where they go bad around the 60,000-mile range.
Story
It's a fun conversation starter. People wouldn't assume who looks like me to drive a vehicle like this. I've had people give me looks all the time. It's always funny.
Pros
It drives well. The design is unique.
Cons
Just how delicate the build is. There is too much room for things to go wrong. Paint, internals, etc., are prone to breaking often. Not to mention the repairs are much more costly as compared to similarly priced Toyotas and Hondas.
