I bought my PT Cruiser used from one previous owner. I have never been so happy with a car as I have with this car. I know it is old and has seen better days, but I dread the day when I have to give it up. I love that it is simple and easy to maintain and inexpensive all around.
Story
I parked my car at the mall and went shopping. I came out of the mall and went to my car. My keyless entry wasn't working, and I was getting upset not knowing what to do. I called my husband who said, "Hon, use the key to get in." Duh. I really forgot that I could use the key!! I will never live this down -- until this day, we still laugh about it.
Pros
I love the fact that it is a small car but roomy inside. The biggest benefit is the trunk since it is a hatchback. I carry things around in it like it is a truck. It is great on gas mileage. I love that the car is very easy to maintain but has nice features. Anything I need to fix or replace is very reasonable and pretty much can be fixed by my semi-automotive fixer hubby. I have almost 200,000 miles on it, and it runs great and still smooth for such an old car. I love the keyless entry, and the radio tells me the songs and artists. It has a CD player even though CDs aren't used mu... (more)
Cons
The biggest negative for me is that they don't make them anymore. When my car dies, it is going to be a sad day. My hubby complains about the way the stuff is under the hood, that you have to take a lot apart to get to anything, but it usually isn't too much of a big deal. One thing I don't like is there is no room for my purse. I always throw it on the passenger floor and it bothers whoever is sitting there. Not enough room in between the arms of the seats for a purse.

Our PT Cruiser has been a great car and continues to be an amazing vehicle to this day. It has a beautiful, retro design and a nice, subtle color. The interior space is nice and roomy, and it has the ability to be converted into different positions. We have had very few problems with this car, and it has been our main family vehicle for over twelve years. It drives very smoothly and is a very nice car to ride in whether you are going on a Sunday drive or a long trip.
Story
Taking the family to the drive-in using our PT Cruiser. If we end up replacing this car, it will be heartbreaking to not be able to go in our family car.
Pros
The first thing I loved about the car is the retro design. The color is also a plus as it is a nice vanilla color. The interior of the car is a nice gray material and has held up well through the years. I love the versatility of the seats and the hatchback. We have used this car in many different family type of situations. My favorite thing is the smooth ride and how it just consistently has been an awesome vehicle from top to bottom.
Cons
This is kind of hard as there were not a lot of problems overall. After 12 years, we had to replace an ignition coil. That wasn't crazy, but it was annoying that the car didn't start for a while. As my family has grown larger, I have noticed that the car has seemingly "shrunk." The spacious vehicle we once loved is becoming a little more cramped. The engine has always made a weird knocking noise when you first start it up. However, this has been unable to be diagnosed, and the car runs perfectly fine despite this.

the salesman was very knowledgeable about all of the things the car could do. he went above and beyond to find the exact van we wanted with all the bells and whistles. they worked with us and gave us a good deal on the car. the whole process was fairly quick and didn't feel high pressured at all. We have used them in the past and they have always been very responsive to our needs. They also gave us free inspections for the life of the car.

The dealership made sure we got the care we wanted at a price we can afford. While we were there, they provided food and drinks for us. They also attended to our 2 year old son and let him watch cartoons. Our car salesman really listened to what we wanted in a car and let us test drive the car. He made it a priority to make us happy.
