I love this vehicle. Right now, we've had it for over 225,000 miles and it's still going strong. There have been very few problems with it, and we have been pretty hard on it as far as maintenance goes. It has been the perfect family vehicle for our family of five. We bought the van in 2009 after a major mental struggle on my part. I swore I would NEVER drive a van! In fact, I drove a 1989 Camry prior to this. When the cost of repair of the Camry was too much, I actually broke down in tears when my husband suggested a minivan. Ultimately, it was the best decision we could have made. We bought it with 17,000 miles already on it. In the nearly seven years we've owned it, we've driven it from the Midwest to the Gulf Coast, New York and several states farther west more times than I can cou... (more)
Story
We love going out to nearby open fields away from town lights to look at the stars. The van is always absolutely perfect for that! The dual control AC/heat makes it so that we can crank the heat in the back when we get too chilly and just lay down and watch the sky.
Pros
Our Town and Country has been remarkably dependable. While we try to keep up with regularly scheduled maintenance, there are many times we've just flat out forgotten to do basic things like change the oil, and we've never had a problem at all. It has been very resistant to rust even with the salty roads of winter. At over 200,000 miles, we haven't had to do things like replace a timing belt. The interior upholstery doesn't look like three kids have practically lived in it. It's very roomy for long drives, and I love the Stow and Go seating - actually, we seldom lower the middle seats; I ju... (more)
Cons
The passenger sliding door somehow lost its bracket that holds the wires firmly when opening and closing. And since I almost always drive, I didn't notice how bad it had gotten and the wires shorted out the "electric brain"of the vehicle. It took our local shop over two weeks to get a working part (Chrysler only makes them when there are a certain number waiting, so it could be months - we lucked out with a used part, but it took two of them) and it was rather expensive to replace. Also, it seems to go through brakes like there's no tomorrow, even though we really don't ride them hard. The... (more)

I have put 20,000 miles on this vehicle since purchasing it a year ago, including two cross-country trips and several other long-distance trips. The vehicle has a smooth ride and ample space to be comfortable while driving or as a passenger. I have experienced no issues with the electrical components of the vehicle. The base model does not have as many features as I would like, such as captain chairs in the second row, but the lack of features does not detract from the overall feel of the vehicle. This trim level is lacking in cargo space, as it is the short-wheel base. I have owned the long-wheel base in a previous model (2001 Town & Country) and can say that the difference in space has been an issue from time to time. My main complaints with this vehicle would be that it lacks power ... (more)
Pros
The top things I like about this vehicle are the smooth ride, it is comfortable on long-distance trips, and it has seating for seven.
Cons
The biggest cons on this trim level/model are the lack of cargo space behind third row, lack of performance/power on incline and a mysterious coolant leak. With the exception of the cargo space, these cons were present on the 2001 Town & Country I owned previously as well.
