I truly enjoy my 2005 Dodge Durango. It is large without being overly bulky. I travel to different conventions all across the southwestern United States and this baby loves the open road. The gas mileage isn't too bad and this SUV is not easily weighed down. All of my product and equipment, plus me and 3 passengers fit comfortably. The truck hugs the road and doesn't bounce around a lot. My SUV has over 150,000 miles on it and still only requires routine maintenance. I always feel in control of the car, it's solid even on shop turns and it can stop on a dime.
Story
Once we went to a convention in Dallas and we were selling piñatas that resembled anime and comic book characters each of them were lined up in the Durango with seatbelts on and from the outside they looked like small children, we were running late and decided we had to do something, so we took the carpool lane! People were waving at the "kids" and we made it to the convention in record time!
Pros
The best things about my Dodge Durango is how good the gas mileage while on the high way, the storage capacity, and I love the look of the car. .
Cons
While the mileage is great on the open road, town travel really eats up gas. The car doesn't like to idle and because of the size of the gas tank you are depending on the price of gas a full tank can cost around $70 every week.

I owned a 2004 Dodge Durango. It was dark red and came with the sport package which included a roof rack and bike rack. I liked that it was a very large vehicle. It made me feel safe when I drove it. I hated the poor gas mileage. When the gas prices shot up, it made for a very expensive drive even to go to the store. It was fairly well made and looked very nice. It handled a bit rough but was very good in rocky terrain.
Story
We took it camping one time. It started raining and we all had to pile into the Durango. We spent the night laughing and acting crazy. It wouldn't have been possible in a smaller vehicle.
Pros
I liked the height and size of the vehicle. It had very big bumpers and air bags for all the passengers. I also liked how roomy it was. We regularly fit 7 or 8 people in it (mostly teenagers).
Cons
It allowed in a lot of road noise from the big tires. It was terrible on gas mileage. It had a lot of power but it came at a cost.
