Good dependable vehicle
First off, never get the first model year of any new vehicle. They never have the bugs worked out, ever. In this case, 1998 was the first year of the Durango. The small things do matter. Like rust on the rear hatch lock device that caused the electric lock to fail. Had to remove the inner door fascia to get to the lock to remove the rust so that it would function. Cruise control mechanism failed due to clogging, a bitch to get to repair. Stupid crap like that. Overall, I liked the Durango, had a big v-8, lots of power, good four-wheel drive (for most of it's life, anyway) and plenty of room.

Our experience with Tim Shorts was excellent. Our salesman was very professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. We did not feel like we were being rushed or tricked. He was able to answer all questions we had about the car, and buying options. Likewise, the financing and price negotiations were cordial and very simple. We did not have to haggle. They offered us a great price from the start and we settled for just a little under that number.

This dealership was great because my salesman listened to qualities I wanted in a car and found me the perfect vehicle! I would never even looked at it if he hadn’t suggested it.
