The Grand Caravan is a great car, despite it's "soccer mom" image. I chose the black exterior with beige interior. As my daughter says, it looks "tough", which is a nice image for a grandma! The engine is powerful enough to still have pickup even when fully loaded with adults. The second glove compartment and oversized console provide lots of room for storing cds and dvds for the built in entertainment system. The foldaway seats allow me to quickly go from carrying all the family (5 people including two carseats) to making room for my latest estate sale furniture find. And the vehicle is very roomy -- even with carseats in both of the second row captain seats, there is still plenty of room for people to crawl into the third row seat without knocking themselves senseless.
Story
When leaving his soccer game, my grandson yelled out the window to his friends, "This is the greatest car ever...I can watch movies in here!"
Pros
My favorite feature has to be the foldaway seats. After having other vehicles where the seat had to be removed from the car, the ability to just fold the seat into the floor and open up storage room is awesome. This vehicle also has a video viewer for the back seat which makes the ride to kindergarten for my grandson a pleasure.
Cons
The "soccer mom" image of minivans is sometimes embarrassing.

2006 Dodge Grand Caravan - This van is pretty much just like other vans I have owned in the past.

This van is has been comfortable for my family for the passed few years. For the most part, this van is a dependable vehicle to get me to work and back home. I have taken it on short trips for weekend vacations, but I would not trust it on a long road trip. It is comfortable to drive with the many different ways I can adjust the driver's seat but isn't very comfortable while sitting in the passengers seat. Bucket seats in the middle row make getting into the third row easier than previous vans I have owned. The automatic sliding side doors are a nice idea, if they worked. The back lift gate is also suppose to be automatic, and it works about 50% of the time but doesn't stay open without someone holding it in cold weather. When it is warm, it seems to stay open without me holding it. Th... (more)
Story
This van will seat my entire family, which totals seven people. The youngest sit in the third row, but they won't be able to fit there for much longer, as they are all growing.
Pros
Positive things about this van on my list would be the leather interior and middle bucket seats. The radio also has pretty good sound for a factory installed basic system. The space behind the third row of seats is also something I find important. It's big enough to put a cooler in and at least one big suitcase without having to take the seats out. The back seats also fold down part of the way to enable me to put bigger things in through the back. Since I do a lot of bulk shopping for my family, this is beneficial. This van has the option to move the foot pedals forward for a shorter perso... (more)
Cons
The top negative thing about this van is how the optional things that seem to all be extras did not work for very long after I purchased it. The automatic sliding side doors with remote on the key were unbelievably useful at first. It was so easy for me to unlock and open one door or the other to put groceries in. I used this option a lot for the first year or so that I owned this van but the passenger side stopped working. I couldn't use the remote anymore and the button inside also stopped working. When I inquired about getting it fixed, I was told that it would end up costing me about $... (more)

The salesman was very, very helpful. This is the dealership where we take all of our cars for service, so naturally this was the first place we looked when looking for a truck to buy. Service department is always very helpful and they do good work. I loved our sales guy - he went above and beyond the call of duty to get us a deal on the truck we wanted.

The dealership was a small business off of a roundabout. I was surprised that there were several different types of cars that were in good shape. I talked the car dealership from 3500 to 2700. Which was great for me. I was able to get a great deal and drive off with the car off the lot. They made the transition smooth.
